As opposed to its bigger Czech cousin Peck’s Pilsner, our German Pils is a traditional German-style brau. The renowned German Hallertau Mittelfruh hop and pilsner malt produce a lighter-bodied pils that finishes crisp yet soft. So authentic and drinkable, it cries “Bring on the liters!”

Revisited this one on draft. Served in a pint glass. Pour is clear golden yellow body, one finger white head, fair retention, bits of lacing. Smell is biscuit, touch of hay, light noble earth and floral notes, crackery malt, touch of lemon also. Flavour follows; straight-forward German pilsner, although I'd like a little bit more of the biscuit sweetness to smooth the beer out a little more. Mouthfeel is medium-lighter bodied, refreshing and nicely drinkable. Solidly constructed beer.

This pours a clear, dark yellow color with a slight white head. The aroma is slightly malty. The flavor is mild and good for a pils. Lots of grain and hints of citrus.

On-tap at Great Dane Brew Pub, MSN Airport, Madison, WI
A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of bubbles that died down and left a patch in the center of the glass and a collar around the edge. This eventually faded away and left only a thin collar.
S: Light aromas of bready malts are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of bready malts along with some notes of floral hops. No bitterness is perceptible, although there are enough hops to mask any traces of sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather easy to drink and makes for a good accompaniment to a meal.
Serving type: on-tap
