draught
Medium chestnut with some amber highlights. Moderate, sweet dark caramelized malt aroma. Semi-sweet, caramelized malt, with a hint of oak, in the flavor, which leads into a bit of a bite. Finishes with semi-sweet, medium heavy toasted grain.

tested from 12oz cans dated 9/9/19
nice looking, leaves plenty of lacing
odd smelling, but smells good: bread, roasted caramel and something else I'm not sure what it is (peat?), raisin, alcohol.
taste: deep roasted/burnt caramel, hints of dark fruit, micro amount of smoke/peat. rather smooth and sweet. Alcohol on the finish. Chocolate? Maybe but maybe not.
feel: slightly thin for a wee heavy, but still some malt body to it.
I like this beer, have had it many times before. not the most heavy duty but you can drink 3 cans in a row too without getting sick of it.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a chalice.
Pours a medium ruddy brown with a thin head receding to a cap with decent stick. Pretty clear.
Aroma is of bready malt and slight peat.
Flavor is sourdough bread and sour yeast. Slightly roasty with a small amount of smokiness.
Mouthfeel is thin and actively carbonated.
Overall a pretty weak flavored beer for the ABV. Thin mouthfeel and low flavor along with the sour lacto infection flavor I noticed in another of their beers. Not great.

on tap from my kegerator
poured into Belgian ale glass
A - transparent body of deep ruby brown under 2 fingers of khaki foam
S - caramel sweetness, peat
T - caramel sweetness, peat, hint of chocolate, touch of spice
M - medium/full body, high carbonation
O - Something is slightly off in the taste; can't quite put my finger on it, but it may be the yeast. Other than that, this is an enjoyable scotch ale.

Taste: tangy, caramel malt smoked, with a clean finish. Mild spiced malt nose. Deep amber hue, clear, with tan head thin lace due to being growler too long. Medium body. 25 IBUs
