Bright amber-brown with firm tan head. Fades slowly, leaving good lacings around the glass.
Toasty nose of caramel and light toffee. Thick munich malts and full-on biscuit aroma. Hop aroma is slightly grassy with tinges of earthen, nearing wooden, tones.
Mildly sweet and rich from the start. Caramel a big player here. Excellent toasted flavors come out, biscuit and dough-ish cracker as well. Somewhat nutty, mainly almonds. German hop character comes out well, providing some slightly spicy, grassy flavors.
Creamy, lucious body soothes the throat and coats the mouth. Can't imagine it any other way. As an O-fest style beer, this is what it's all about. Everything is lined up and in place; soothingly strategic and coordinatedall you'd want in an all-night beer.

Twinkling ruby crowned with a sizeable, floating beige froth.
Pangs of caramel mixed with a pasture of grassy hops.
Light Vienna sweetness upfront, coming close to caramel, then receding. Ventures toward grain, then retreats again. Dashes toward toastedness, but stops short. Confused for a second, as it mires in a non-descript earthen hue. Finally finds its correct path as it barrels towards an assertively snappy, grassy, German hop destination.
Ample effervescence benefits a semi-sturdy body.
Although it is seems a tad indecisive for a while, it comes together by the finish.
Pretty decent.
