Served from a freshly filled growler. Pours with a deep brick red body that borders on burgundy. Head is a solid inch of golden biscuit beige that Leaves a wall of lace as it fades. Very classic visually for a red ale. Nose is Uniquely appealing for the style with yeasty tones that resembles a Belgium style and even some nice fruit tones mingled in. Very bright for the style but wonderful. With first sip I am immediately impressed with the depth and character of this brew. Starts almost fruity sweet with nice malt presence. Rustic woodsy earth tones quickly take over with dry malt nuttiness and some soft hop presence. Hops play with the spice characters nicely as well. Mouthfeel is on the dryer side with hops bringing about the fitter feel. This is an outstandingly drinkable red ale that hits on all cylinders.

This is a bit of an odd one. Fruity notes, hopefully due to specialty malt, are noted in the aroma. Flavor reminds me of red kool-aid in the aftertaste.
