Golden color with frothy off-white head. Aroma has belgian yeast esters, some apples and a light spicy cinnamon note. Taste is grainy, malty, quite sweet, floral, with a light herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium body, high effervescence. It doesn't really taste like an IPA, more like a belgian pale ale.

Nice to drink. Soft bitterness. Very easy to drink even if you are not used to IPA's.

No mention of John on the label, though bottle is same as the picture!
Flowery aroma, some apricot.
Taste is not as intense or bitter as the best American or English ones, though quite flowery and refreshing. Not particularly bitter, quite sweet for an IPA. More of hoppy Belgian lager really, would not really define this as an IPA...still pretty decent overall.
