A middle-of-the-road Danish Pilsener. A good regional alternative to Carlsberg and Tuborg. Rerate on tap: Drinkable but always served too cold. Generally Danish beers are served ice (and I mean ICE) cold, even if Danish summers normally are far from hot.

A: Clean crisp in appearance. Substantial head upon pouring and then settles down to a solid one finger head with mild lacing. Clear white-yellow in color.
S: Smells of crisp malt. Interesting smell of something I can not describe... maybe it is the bitter notes mentioned by "bark."
T: Bitter aftertaste at first but after a few drinks it is a delightful one. The tastes are balanced. A good pilsner look and taste.
M: Medium to light body with a good amount of carbonation making it slightly more difficult to drink.
D: Clean and crisp taste makes for easy drinking. Leaves a slight film in mouth which otherwise would have received a higher rating.

The colour is medium yellow; the two finger white airy head leaves some minor lacing.

The smell is quite simple with some fresh malt and some anonymous bitter notes and a hint of sweet candy.

The taste is better than those really cheap Danish/German lagers as I couldn’t find any of those odd sour-sweet-chemical notes. Instead, the taste is simple, crisp and balanced: Fresh mild malt is balanced with a good strict bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter with some mild notes of wheat loaf. More of a German Pils than a Danish one… I like!

The carbonation is strong with medium sized bubbles. The liquid is not as watery as I had expected.
