This place is more geared to sell wine, and furthermore was the size of a walk-in closet. While I was unimpressed by the sheer number of beers, I was in fact impressed by the number that they were able to cram into this place. Furthermore, it's one of the few places around that has a 'mix-a-six' program..$8 for a mixed sixpack, culled from about two shelves worth of both domestic and foreign beers. It's not the greatest, but it certainly comes in handy when my dad, who is not as big of a beer aficionado like myself...comes to visit, and I pick up a six of Cricket Hill/Brooklyn/Otter Creek/etc for me mixed with Heineken/Palm/etc for my dad. The service is not that knowledgeable, but they're friendly. Good place to get bare minimum quality stuff in a pinch.

Although more of a wine store, this establishment has a decent selection of craft beers and the staff is helpful. It's conveniently located on Route 46 and has a strong following.

I was in Jersey on business and had a morning to kick around to a couple of beer stores in hopes of scoring some Captain Lawrence or other gems to add to my cellar.

I stayed in Parsippany to hit El Dorado and Liquor Outlet and Wine Cellars (which I highly recommend over this place).

El Dorado is much more about wine and has a limited selection of mostly imported beers. Of the rated BA beer stores, this one has one of the smallest selections I've come across with nothing exceptional. I didn't wind up purchasing anything and the manager had never head of Captain Lawrence (a sign that he wasn't focused on the local beer scene).

Probably my favorite location for beer in the Denville-area. A very respectable selection but what makes this place stand out is the service. Everytime I go in there whoever is working the counter is more than helpful if I'm looking for something specific or if I'm just looking for a recommendation. They've even offered to break open the last case of beer so I could purchase a 6-pack out of it.

They also have a decent selection of single bottles to make your own 6-pack. I would like to see a larger selection but since its mostly a wine store, I think the amount of beers they have in a small amount of space is quite good.

They also were very helpful when I was trying to track down a case of Wells & Youngs Bombardier Ale. I had them special order it from a distributor and they were more than happy to help me out with that.

I have a friend of mine who lives in the Mountain Lakes, NJ area, so that is the only reason why I would have check this establishment out... a small, hometown place, and from what I heard, one of the few liquor stores in the surrounding area... the people there were really friendly and glad and eager to help you out finding anything you were looking for... an added bonus was that they had a pretty good selection of single beers and allowed you to create your own six packs... A decent variety, but nothing exotic or too rare... the prices were reasonable and the service was pretty good, so I guess I would go back if I were in the area...

For the area, it's the best selection around. From what I've found there is not much in the Parsippany/Mountain Lake area. But I did find this place and the people were nice.

They had two shelves for make your own six packs or singles that ranged from Magic Hat to Dave's Cave Creek Chili Beer and a sample of everything in between.

The two guys working were very friendly. They had lots of macros and malternatives, but for every one of those they had a quality import or craft beer. Everything from Duvel, Chimay, and Orval to Ommegang to Magic Hat to Bert Gant's. Surprisingly very few NY, NJ, or PA beers. In fact the only ones were Brooklyn, but again the best selection around by far.
