This is from their website:
Malts: Domestic Two Row Pale, Caramel & Carapils Hops: Centennial, Cascade, Summit, Warrior & Fuggle.
12oz bottle dated 1/6/15 poured into a Sam Adams glass. Gotta be the bottling date 'cause this one's nice & fresh.
I've really liked Brown's brews since they were Uncle Sams Brewery in Troy. This offering is a really fine IPA, weighing in at 7% abv, maybe a nod to the Brits (Fuggle) but hopped like an American. Great mouthfeel and aftertaste, a tad harsh, which I like. Reminds me a bit of Ipswich IPA in that regard.
Recommended. Great to see Brown's on the shelf in the Boston area.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a semi-decent looking bronzed orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than about thirty seconds. Lacing roams in a messy fashion. The smell started off with a malty sweetness and gently lead into a glazed sweet fruitiness. The taste was basically the same as the smell and has the malty sweetness leading into the aftertaste. There’s no finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with an okay sessionable quality about it. Carbonation seems to finish fairly mellow and the bitterness really doesn’t hit like an AIPA. Overall, if one looks at it as an English IPA, it would probably be not bad, as an American IPA, I have to say - not really.

Picked this up after a great hike up Mt Esther and Mt Whiteface
Cloudy muddy water brownish maize color with a respectable foamy head. Looks like a sloppy home-brew of mine. Smells floral with sweet caramel malt. Tastes like purple (grape?) Bubble Yum with way too much malt. Wimpy bitter in back. Thin for such a high ABV. This isn't great.

A: Poured from the bottle into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy orangey-amber with a 3/4-finger of pretty bright white head on top. A closer inspection reveals very fine particulate in suspension. Some lace.
S: Bread doughty malt and tropical fruit-type hoppiness. Not a very strong IPA nose at all.
T: OK, it tastes like an IPA, that's for sure. Immediate impression of hops - bitter lemony and citrusy grapefruit with some grass or pine. Lingering in the aftertaste, however, is that bready, doughy malt that at times tastes like sugar cookie dough. The long-range aftertaste, however, is more bitter as the hops triumph over the malt. Nice balance, leaning towards the hoppy/bitter side of things for sure, which is how I prefer my IPAs.
M: Call it medium-to-full in heft; slightly sticky in feel.
O: Good. A solid local IPA.

Poured from a bottler into shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, caramel coloring with a filmy, off-white halo of head. Nose of tangy citrus, some tropical fruit notes, and a tangy sweet caramel backbone. Flavors are more resinous and grassy hops forward, sticky and vegetal, with a dose of kiwi and lime sweetness to follow. Very bitter. The body is mid-range, with a bite from the bitterness. The aftertaste is more of the grassy hops profile, providing a solid bitter linger after the sharp, crisp finish.

Liked everything about this beer, consumed from an undated 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass, except the aftertaste, which was just a bit stale-ish.
Fine smell, pleasantly hoppy and well balanced, turbid amber color. Will have to try another sample.

Pours a cloudy yellow amber, left a frothy white head that dissipated quickly, left behind a few islands of lacing.
Smells of cascade hops, toasted barley, a bit of apple, honey or graham.
First taste flooded my mouth with too much hops, and the hop explosion left a poor impression, next few sips were much better. It is both simultaneously sweet on the front of the tongue and bitter on the back. Biscuit and cream, grassy hops, a pretty decent balance, slightly skewed a bit towards too hoppy.
Medium bodied, a bit on the creamy side, leaves very clean.
A solid IPA.
