Pours clear, light amber in color with a substantial slightly beige head. Grassy hops fill the aroma, but there is also sweetness of malt. Taste is not terribly bitter, but hops are evident. Malts also play a significant role. I personally think it's a little too much malt, but I am not sure it's out of style. Fairly balanced. There is some bitterness in the aftertaste, but not unpleasant. Medium body. Seeing that I am almost done with my pint while writing this review, I'd say it's drinkable.
I believe this is my first Brown's beer. Based on it I wouldn't mind trying more. It's local beer for me (NY state), and that's important to me. Freshness date on the bottle would be nice to have.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy orange/beige color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrus, malts. Taste is of pine, some citrus, a solid malt backbone, a good amount bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains grassy hops, caramelized malts and some citrus.
T: The taste starts out bready with a hearty malt character up front. Then an earthy hops bitterness comes in. There is some caramel and citrus sweetness that provides a little balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp but not very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, decent kick, decent representation of style, this is a solid IPA to drink for a while.
