Pours a hazy, golden wheat color with a tight, white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of grapefruit and grass.

Tastes of the grapefruit with a decent malt backbone and some earthy hops. Grapefruit leads off with a decent amount of bitterness. This gives away to a little malt sweetness with notes of bread and cracker as well. Earthy hops round out the backend adding a bit more bitterness. Finishes with a lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is decent, but nothing special. Comes off as pretty one note.

Pours Amber with minimal haze. 1 finger head with lacing that has little retention. Smells floral and citrus. Decent IPA bite on sip with a bit more bitterness on backend. Nice carbonation. Budget conscious Scuplin? Would buy again.

The last MH release I purchased was Big Hundo in a bomber. I may not care much about their business model but I do have a slight interest in what they're brewing.

Pours a nice golden color with a head that quickly fades.

Smells like a grapefruit variant of #9. To their credit, it's not cloying and does offer hope that they're using actual citrus-dominant hops.

The grapefruit fades immediately, followed by a very basic malt profile. There's no "oomph" back there. Just a decent amount of bitterness.

Kind of flat at the back of the tongue. Bitterness threatens to rain down my throat.

My apologies for the cynicism present here. This is actually a quaffable IPA if you ignore the grapefruit peel. I see that HIPA is back. Have to try that as well.

12oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours a pale, slightly hazy golden color. Not much head and not much lacing. Grapefruit accent very prevalent in the scent. Light bodied feel with not much depth. Hop bitterness hits first and then the grapefruit taste makes a late appearance. Not in the same class as Sculpin Grapefruit (8.0)

Heavy carbonation
Not balanced
Strong hop bitterness
Not much hop character added over than a strong bitterness
STRONG grapefruit flavor
I loved this beer but I am biased as grapefruit is one of my favorite fruits.
Overall, very strong grapefruit flavor and very bitter.

Pours into a standard pint a pale yellow with a thinner bone white head atop.I don't get much grapefruit peel in the nose, mainly grainy with a splash of lemon.Light grapefruit and lemon zest on the palate along with leafy hops,I think the best part of the beer is the nice lightly toasted biscuit malts in the finish wich isn't supposed to me the main component of the beer. It's not bad,not a grapefruit and/or hop bomb but I don't mind it.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.

Mildly hazed dull golden hue, good amount of white lace on the glass. Smells of grapefruit zest & grassy hops. Smooth with a nice pop of crispness within the medium body. Thick blanket of grapefruit rind on the palate with an ample bitterness expected for an IPA. After that initial onslaught it sort of falls flat with no real balance of malt or any hop depth to tell me anything else about this brew ... just lots of grapefruit rind and bitterness which takes away from the drinkability.

12 oz bottle

Pour is near clear lighter honey amber. Quality look to the off white fine bubble head, leaving ample low sheeting and a thicker collar.

Citric hopped up nose oozing of tangerine and the advertized grapefruit.

Freshy feel to this one, bright, zesty and tasty. More grapefruit soaked hop notes and a clean caramel malt undercoating.

Well done, one of the better MH beers I've had in quite a while.

On tap in Atlanta.
Excellent clarity in the Amber body.
The aroma is very malty for an IPA.
The flavor is more hoppy than malty by a good bit, as expected for style but in contrast to the aroma.
Fruity, floral and a bit herbal.

Pours a nice straw colour with a nice lacey white head.
Strong malt and citrus aromas. Fresh baked bread.
Tastes like bitter grapefruit, grapefruit rind, mellow citrus, malt and yeast.
Real nice crisp mouth feel. Great carbonation and wonderful bitterness.
A good IPA.

Poured into a pint glass. Clear golden color with a one finger head that slowly recedes and leaves a ring of lacing. Nose is grapefruit and citrus hops. Taste is grapefruit and citrus hops with a surprising amount of malt body to make it smooth. The hops linger and make the finish just a little bitter. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Slightly bitter aftertaste, but it isn't unappetizing and works with the grapefruit.
A nice grapefruit IPA. The grapefruit is an accessory that enhances the IPA characteristics. Pretty refreshing and drinkable. Glad I grabbed the second bottle.
