Smells of lemon, yogurt, clove, banana.
Initial taste of lemon custard, followed through with some notes of banana and grainy wheat, a little bubblegum. A bittnerness that falls slightly upon the toungue toward the end, faint but noticable hop flavoring. Chewy in the mouth. Nice and dry ending leaves me wanting more.
A nicely done American wheat beer. One of the better beers I have had from Magic Hat lately.

12 ounce bottle into weizen glass, bottled on 2/3/2017. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, herbal, and grass; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and solid complexity of fruity/light spicy yeast, lemongrass, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, herbal, and grass; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness, yeast spiciness, and wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light banana/pepper/clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness, balance, and solid complexity of fruity/light spicy yeast, lemongrass, and pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Clean finishing. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp, and slightly sticky/tangy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a nice American wheat/Hefeweizen hybrid style. All around nice robustness, balance, and solid complexity of fruity/light spicy yeast, lemongrass, and pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/spicy finish. Feels like a mix of American/German wheat yeasts, which have nice fruity character presence and solid complexity. Not overdone on the Lemongrass spice, and nice malt presence/balance for the low ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering, and pretty unique brew.

Appearance -- Pours a hazed orange hue with a slim fizzy white head. Nice color.

Smell -- Bready malt, cream of wheat, cardamom, and lemongrass. Not too shabby.

Taste -- Dry malt, cracked wheat, mild banana-like yeat character, and lemongrass. The lemongrass is very pronounced, almost spicy. Lingering flavors of mineral water, dry malt, and lemongrass.

Mouthfeel -- Medium-light in body with sharp fizzy carbonation. Slightly harsh.

Drinkability -- Not as good as I had hoped. I'm a big fan of lemongrass, but less would've been more in this. Glad I tried it, but I wouldn't go for it again.

This is from Joe's Garage mix pack. Pours a very hazy yellow (lot of yeast sediment in this) Smells a bit weak and a little soapy with citrus. tastes quite a bit better, somewhat citrus, a little yeasty tasting with some ending bitterness in the finish. Overall it would a nice summer beer, should be released a little later in the season.

Pours a cloudy yellow color with a one finger off white head with fair retention, and no lacing. Smells like weak lemon, yeast, and wheat.

Tastes like light lemon, wheat, and yeast. Somewhat sweet, although there is not much taste, kind of disappointing.

Light bodied, plenty of carbonation, thin, and watery. I'm not sure if this has been sitting for a while, or just placed on the shelf, but I am glad I only tried a single. I will pass on this in the future.

Hmm..I always love a good wheat beer.

Circus boy poured a typical cloudy as one would expect from a wheat beer. What I noticed was that it was definitaly darker than a typical wheat which I hadn't come across too many times. Very limited head but that may have been my glass. The head dissipated very quickly.

I found the smell to be a citrus type smell followed by some spiceyness. My first smell almost suggested something unpleasant but that didn't seem to hold after subsequent attempts.

Quite tasty although I didn't find the typical characteristics that one finds when sampling a wheat beer. That bubbly feel was there tickling at my nose but the spices that were hinted at with the smell just didn't seem to make it through as strongly to the taste. That is not to say that it was unpleasant but that it was just different. I still found the citrus tastes to be evident while sampling this beer.

Mouth feel was somewhat heavy I felt for a wheat beer. Quite bubbly I found.

Drinkability was very good. I could probably have several of these and not get tired of the taste. As it warmed up the flavors didn't seem to strengthen too much which I had noticed in other wheat beers.

Overall I liked this beer but as a wheat I wasn't totally impressed by it. I did like it however but if I was in the mood for wheat beer this wouldn't be my first choice.

A: Poured a slight cloudy honey-orange color with a flat, bone white soapy head that was rather unexciting and left a poor lacing. Was fairly clear for a unfiltered beer with moderate visible carbonation.

S: The nose had some tart lemons, bananas and cloves as well a light wheat hints.

T: The initial flavor had a mild, lemony tartness, citrus and a light wheat creaminess. Mild spiciness from the hops combine with some oranges and citrus on the finish. A light lingering sourness rounds things out.

M: very light in texture and in carbonation, finishes dry wit a light sourness.

D: Drinkability was ok, rather bland with not much characteristics or good within style. I would personally pass on this one.

Citrus and Flowery in smell. A cloudy dark yellow and light orange in color with a 1/2 inch white head. Also notice the left over yeast in the bottle. Just a note: yeast is good. Definate flowery taste with a bit of a citrus taste and slightly bitter. Absolutely dry. Good lacing on the gless.
