A: Copper and clear pour, plenty of combination. Two finger-width head quickly dissolves.

S: Very muted, with a hint of malt in the smell. Something of a metallic twinge to it. Maybe some fruits, too.

T: Kind of bland. Bready, mild hop flavoring. A noticable malt presence as well. A lot more reserved than I'd expected. It gets a little more balanced as it warms, with some hops emerging to complement the malt, and a bit of fruit in the background.

M: Crisp and carbonated. Slight bitterness in the swallow, but pretty light for the style.

Starts mildly and never really takes off. Finishes better as flavors emerge, but it's unlike most IPAs I've had. Nothing makes it bad, but there's not really enough to make it great, either. A pleasant, if average beer.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip.

A- Pours a hazy golden amber color with a white foam head that leaves some decent lacing.

S- Much more of a musty hop aroma than I was expecting. Some toffee and caramel is present as well.

T- Again, much like the nose only the alcohol is more prominent. Muted musty hop flavor with some caramel and toffee in the finish. The English Ale yeast is actually quite nice and it adds a bit of fruitiness to the malt backbone.

M- Medium bodied with ok carbonation. The alcohol is surprisingly prominent for being 6.2%.

O- Overall a very average beer but certainly not offensive in any way.
