A: A slightly hazy amber orange with a medium tan head. What head there is to speak of disappears quickly. At least the color is nice.
S: Toasted grain, floral hops. The aroma is pleasant not complex
T: Initial sip is tea like bitterness and a mild caramel note. Sweet cereal malt flavors combine with a pine bitterness to finish the tasting.
M: Still, medium bodied, poor head retention.
D: Really just an average to slightly above average amber ale. The bitterness is bigger than expected but the malt complexity is limited.

Bottle from the Lazy Dog
Pours a deep amber color bordering on copper with a decent sized bubbly off white head. Big caramel and toffee on the nose with some earthy hops to counter. Rich caramel maltiness with a hint of toffee flavor. Earthy hop flavor with a moderate level of bitterness. Not sure why I picked this up, but I am pleasantly surprised. Its not too bad for an amber ale, Roxy Rolles rides again?
