Served into a 17 oz glass mug.
A nice amber body with a yellowish head.
Smells quite hoppy and a bit malty.
The taste is well rounded with a solid earthy hop bitter, slightly citric, a bit of pine. Balanced beautifully by some roasted caramel malt.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a dry finish.
The drinkability was off the charts. Last year I didn't really care for this, but this year my palate is developed enough to really enjoy it. If you like fresh hoppy beers, this is a must try.

Bottle from the Lazy Dog
Pours a deep amber color bordering on copper with a decent sized bubbly off white head. Big caramel and toffee on the nose with some earthy hops to counter. Rich caramel maltiness with a hint of toffee flavor. Earthy hop flavor with a moderate level of bitterness. Not sure why I picked this up, but I am pleasantly surprised. Its not too bad for an amber ale, Roxy Rolles rides again?
