I remember despising last winter's Odd Notion, which just like this one, I stumbled across in Magic Hat's Winterland 12pack
A - Poured a translucent amber color, with a thick pure white head and a sticky lacing that's lingeredthrough more than half the glass.
S - It doesnt smell appetizing at all, really. Stale berries, a little woody. some toast notes come through as well.
T - biscuits, tree bark, No spice notes really come forward, which in my admittedly limited experience is not normal for a winter offering. it tastes better than it smells. not BAD, but nothing to write home about. A bit of malt lingers on the palate.
M - Thin, VERY highly carbonated.
D - Ehhh. it wasnt hard to drink, but would I want another in the same session? probably not.
Overall, not a bad offering and defintely better than the Winter 09 Odd Notion, but still closer to an Infield Single than a home run. I havent had the opportunity to try any other in the Odd Notion series. Maybe a summer offering will be more to my liking.

I had high hopes for this, but the hibiscus flavor was overwhelming.
