Ticket to Rye is a Rye IPA that offers the imbiber an opening act of rye spice, nicely woven into a hearty, bitter backup from an entire band of Nugget hops. The harmony created by these ingredients is just what any epic show calls for.

Poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: Cloudy amber with a thick off white head that retains well.

Smell: A little faint, but I pick up a little rye, fruits, and yeast.

Tastes: A nice taste, similar to the smell, but stronger. Rye is more evident. Sweet at first then a little a bitter, not as much as other IPAs.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. A little carbonation, but mostly smooth.

Overall: Not bad, but not my favorite Magic Hat IPA. A little different from what I am used to in an IPA, a little more sweet, but not bad overall.

Pours a finger of head on a hazy dark straw colored body.
The aroma is rye, musty lemon (in the best way) and earth.
The taste is mild rye at first, moderate lemon bitterness, then it ambles towards a muddled bitter finish.
The texture is crisp with soft edges.
An enjoyable IPA. The taste finish could have been a little more structured though.
