I was southbound this early summer Saturday afternoon and headed for Nantasket Beach in Hull. Located directly on RT 3A in Weymouth is Macy’s Beachway Liquors. The location is extremely convenient if you find yourself headed in this direction.

It’s a large store upon entrance that has plenty to offer. The beer selection is located in the back. Multiple coolers are dedicated to a variety of different beers. Expect six packs of all your typical macro brews and highlights like Victory, Magic Hat, Long Trail, Brooklyn, Harpoon, Oskar Blues (Dale's Pale Ale & Old Chub), Sam Adams and imports.

Also worth noting is the shelf space in front of the cooler that has warm six packs and bombers. I noticed Victory (Hop Devil, & Storm King Stout), Endurance, Samuel Smith's, Chimay (Cinq Cents, Grande Reserve and Premiere), Harpoon 100 Barrel Series (Saison), German Hefeweizens and Tsingtao. The selection here is very solid and any BA should be able to find some quality selections.

The service leaves much to be desired. I was in the store for about ten minutes and was never acknowledged, never mind asked if I needed assistance. Even my ID situation was a tad excessive.

It’s all business here with people coming in and out on a regular basis. I think the major advantage at Macy’s is the location and the respectable selection of beers available. I was very glad to spot Dale’s Pale Ale in six pack cans, it made for the perfect compliment for a hot July beach day in Hull.

This is a big place with a poor selection, poor prices and poor service. It should be a lot better based on its size and location

Stopped in last week to check out their craft beer offerings. My first impression was not a positive one as the inside of the store was not very clean and had a cluttered look to it.Major emphasis on domestic 30 packs at very low prices. The craft selection was average in my opinion but priced fairly. The staff was not rude but they also were not engaging.. While not the worst store i have ever been in there are much better ones in the area.

You can't miss this store heading down Rt. 3A towards Nantasket. Once you go through the rotary and pass over the large lift bridge into Weymouth, it'll be on your right.

From the outside it isn't very inviting, but once you go inside, the store surprises you. Cases of Saranac, Sammy's, and Harpoon greet you on the left when you step inside. The spirits are on the back wall and the wines are in the center of the store. The coolers for the beer and a large aisle of shelf beers are on the left wall. I also noticed that the lighting is great and plenty of sunshine comes through, so it isn't a dull atmosphere.

An unexpected selection w/ all of the New England brews, even growlers; a lot of Victory, Allagash, Ommegang. There's even a section in the cooler for singles. The entire store was very clean, very organized, and everything was priced well. They even had a nice display for a sale on Harpoon.

The service was great. The woman at the register was very friendly and helped w/ any questions. The manager Gary knows more about the beer than anyone, so if you have any questions, ask someone in the store and they'll get the manager for you. Macy's Beachway Liquors is a great example of a local liquor store w/ a nice location, a nice atmosphere, and a great selection of craft beers. If you're on your way to Nantasket Beach or anywhere along 3A, stop by.

I checked out Macy's Beachway for the first time this weekend & found it to be a decent place to get craft beers. They had one aisle about 15 ft. long with 3 shelves full. Some of their selections in the ailes were out of stock & had not been replaced with anything else leaving some holes in the selection.

I found the selection on this day to be average, with a couple of gems. They had the standards of Smuttynose, Harpoon & a bunch of other local craft bres, but not too much from farther afield. I went there looking for Dogfish Head Aprihop, but they didn't carry DFH at all, at least on this day. They had a small selection of foreign beer with some lesser seen Moretti types & some more exotic German brands.

I was impressed by the service as not 2 minutes after we walked in we were asked if we needed help with finding anything, etc. & if we couldn't find something we wanted that it could be ordered, etc.

Overall, I found this a good secondary location to my primary beer shop. A good place to check out if I'm looking for something I can't find in my primary store.

Located just a couple miles away from my pad, this is a decent distibutor for beer and wine.
Service is non-existant, but I like it that way in a place like this...the place is small, so it takes less than 2 minutes to survey the selection.
I have found many of the micros from the Northeast, as well as the many Irish brews. Impressed to see Stone's Arrogant and Double Bastard...and only $5.99 and $7.99 respectively...the best pricing I have seen on these fine brews.
Not the selection of Luke's, but a great place to take visitors who are not looking for anything special or rare.

Macy's was my main supplier of beer for a few years. There selection is limited by a small store. They do carry dogfish, magic hat, long trail, and a few of the others. The prices at Macy's are much better than the other stores in the area and the only competition seems to be Stop and Shop in Hingham. They were always accomodating when I needed to order kegs for bbq's and they carry 40lb bags of ice which are always great for a bbq, those little 5lb bags only go so far. They have a small cigar selection and what seems to be a large and diverse wine selection as well, I'm not a wine conniseur so I couldn't go into it.
