Slightly out of date bottle - BB 03/03/09 but scarcity makes it worth reviewing, will check the accuracy if I get a fresh bottle.

Poured a clear golden color with a one finger foamy head that dissipated a bit quickly. Leaves a nice very sticky lacing on the glass and has a nice little spotty cap on the top.

Very sweet smell, some graininess to it and very in offensive.

Taste is very sweet with noticeable grains and a sweet corn finish (the bottle says it's brewed to the reinheitsgebot so I'm not sure where that comes from but it is actually pretty nice.

Thin body with tight carbonation and a dry finish.

I could easily see sitting back and drinking a few of these on a hot summer day. I might just have to do it.

Labeled Premium Export Lager. The aroma is sweet with a floral and grass type hop. The malt is grainy. The appearance is pale gold with a small head that falls fast. The flavor is bitter in a medicinal and astringent way. There is also a significant sweetness of cereal grains. The palate is thin. Overall it fits the style OK but the flavor is unpleasant and finishes soapy. With a name like Schmuckers it doesnt have to be good.

Bottle smell is very malty and sweet. Pours to a golden color with just a hint of bronze. Nice head, but disappears fast. Taste is very malty and sweet almost no hops detectable except at the end there is an ever so slight twinge of bitterness. This beer is very smooth and has good body. Carbonation is good. This is a beer with extremely high drinkability.

First off western NY is the only place I have seen the Schmucker line of beer and they are $3.99 for a fricken six pack unbelievable.I think that this could be categorized as a Munich style hell flavor wise myself anyways on to the review, poured a brilliant light gold with a very nice tight white finger head that held some retention quite spritzey looking well carbonated.More of gentle malt driven lager lightly sweet upfront with subdued toasted malt character a little pizza dough-like quality as well hops are mild and lending a little floral taste into the finish.A very well put together Bavarian lager in my mind a hell delicate but flavorful and ever so drinkable in the summer heat.

Obtained at Consumers' Beverage, this is a different brew than the previously added "meister pils". Schmucker's website seems to label it "privat-export" in German.

Pours a nice golden, a shade darker than your standard macro fare; has a fluffy white head that leaves a thin layer to create lace.

Pleasant malty aroma, hints of light fruit.

Taste is sweet, light malt predominates with a little support from mildly floral hops. Very low bitterness, some hints of cookie dough in the background. Nice, refreshing and drinkable with all malt where americans have been conditioned to accept corn or rice.

At 5.99 per 12, an excellent value.
