Poured from a 12oz bottle (dated 08Sep15) into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
LOOK: Pours with a finger and half worth of white foam that dissipates into a half finger's worth after a minute and a half. Yellow in color with a moderate amount of cloudiness. Rising bubbles are moderate in quantity and both small and medium in size. Lacing is thick and moderate.
SMELL: Mild aromas of mango, peaches, apricot, papaya, grapefruit, and sweet bready malts meet with hints of bitter hops.
TASTE: Mild flavors of mango, peaches, apricot, papaya, and grapefruit enter initially and are immediately followed by mild bitter hop flavors. Mild sweet bready malt flavors enter lastly as fruit flavors persist, but bitter hop flavors grow significantly stronger.
FEEL: Light-bodied with hints of carbonation. Goes down smooth. Finishes with a moderate dryness.
NOTE: Way too bitter. This had me saying, "Ermagerd! Ers ser bitter!"

Pours a dull golden with a near full finger bone white head atop,it settles slowly leaving a full ring of lace behind.A decent amount of dankness going on in the nose, very tropical fruit-like along with some 'garden greens'.A little thin and watery feeling in the back end.Grapefruit and resin stand out most on the palate, not much of a malt presence other than a slight doughiness in the finish. The hop profile is killer but there is a lack of a malt presence that makes the feel a little light .

Appears as a slightly hazy golden color with a large head that settles to a thin cap. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Hoppy aroma that is dank, with citrus, tropical fruit, and pine. No hint of malt. The flavor is also a hop blast of tropical fruit and citrus. A little dank but not extreme. Thankfully there is some malt sweetness and toasted flavor present. I wonder if this was mostly late addition and dry hopped as the bitterness is not as high as I anticipated. The body is a little too thin but it is nicely carbonated.

Pours a straw yellow color with small head and nice lacing

The smell hits you immediately and is amazing with a mix of citrus, dank hops, and maybe a little pine? as soon as I poured this beer I could tell I was in for a treat

The flavor is similar to many Shorts IPAs but with a better balance than most. You get sweet and citrus flavors up front, almost a lemon or grapefruit flavor followed by dank hoppy flavor and a bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is medium to light with good carbonation. Crisp and refreshing but definitely not sessionable. I could drink a couple of these in a row and be happy.

Overall this is one of my favorite limited Shorts releases this year. I just finished my last Sticky Icky Icky and this was better.

I picked up a six pack of Short's Ermagerdnes last week. I'm always down to try a new Short;s beer and I can't wait to see how this one is, so lets see how it goes. 2015 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a Shorts Imperial pint glass.

A- The label looks good and creepy at the same time, it does a good ob at recreating the Meme it's named after and it's really eye catching. It poured a nice yellow color that took on more of a golden orange color to it when held to the light with almost two fingers worth of creamy white head that died down to a thin ring that stayed till the end and it left some nice patchy lacing behind. This is a very nice looking beer, I have no complaints at all.

S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops being the first to show up and they impart a great fruity hop aromas with some citrus fruit, tropical fruit and berry like aroma coming through along with just a little bit of piney and green hops showing up in the background. Up next comes the malts which are light and impart a light pale malt and sweet malt aroma with just a slight bit of doughy yeast showing up in the background. This beer has a good aroma, I like the hop profile.

T- The taste seems to be fairly similar to the aroma and it starts off with the a lower amount of medium sweetness with the hops being the first to show up, they still stick out the most, but this time they have more of a green hop and piney flavor with the fruits showing up in the background. Up next comes a slight bit of doughy yeast that leads into the malts which show up more than they did in the aroma and impart more pale malt and bready aromas with just a little bit of sweet malts coming through. On the finish there;s a lower amount of high bitterness with more of a piney hop aftertaste. This is a pretty nice tasting beer, but I wish the taste was more like aroma.

M- Fairly smooth, a little creamy, slightly crisp, medium bodied with a slightly lower amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is pretty nice and it works well with this beer.

Overall I thought this was a pretty nice beer and a nice example of the style, it's another nice IPA from shorts, but I thought it had potential to be better than that if the taste was more like the aroma. This beer has nice drinkability, I could drink a couple, but after that the bitterness might start to wear on me. What I like the most about this beer was the appearance and aroma, they were both good and the highlights of this beer. What I like the least about this beer is that the hop profile didn't impart more of the juicy and fruity aspects that I really liked about the aroma. I would buy this beer again, but it's nothing I would stock up on. I would recommend trying if your a big IPA fan, but I don't think it's a must try for the style. All in all I liked this beer, but I didn't love and I think with a little more work on the hop profile in the taste this could be a very nice beer. It's not a favorite shorts beer and it's a little above average for the style. Nice job guys this was a solid IPA, but i still think it has potential to be better.

Light in body and color for a pale ale. This beer is a hop assault on the palate bursting with citrus zest and pineapple. Mouth drying, bitter and oh so hoppy. This may not meet the classic definition of an American pale ale, but it's just the kind of APA I most like to drink.
