Pandemonium Pale AlePandemonium Pale Ale
Notes: This blessed, coppered colored ale lends it’s hue to hearty pale ale malts and hand selected specialty grains. Glacier hops balance the wort resulting in  hoppy, and earthy flavors which compliment the core beer base.

Pours an amber-burnt orange color. The pour has a thin head disappeared. Good retention.

The aroma is malty. You notice some wheat and grain.

Pandemonium has a subtle bitterness and a citrus taste. The taste reminds me of a wheat beer or German hefweisen but hoppy. Pandemonium has a noticeable hop presence.

Pandemonium is lighter-medium bodied. It has great drinkability. This is a year-round beer and could be (is)a great session beer.

Big thanks to gnemesis for a big ol box of shorts!

a - poured a nice semi-transparent orange with sparse carbonation and a thin bubbly head that didn't hang long, but left a bit of a rim of head on the surface. Lacing slid down the glass side leaving dalmation spots of lace on the glass.

s - Malt heavy pale ale. Bit of sweet earthiness as well.

t - Quite good. Again, malts are the honored guest at the party, but the beer has a classic pale ale flavor. Caramel side of the flavor spectrum.

m - soft and smooth and easy to drink.

o - Very nice non-IPA boundary pale ale. Easy drinker and overall, a nice pale ale.

12oz bottle into pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy burnt orange body, with a white head that retreats into a small foamy layer. Lacing is minimal.
S: A bit of a fruity dry darkness. A malt presence is shown from the aroma.
T/M: The taste has an upfront caramel notes, that is a malt forward APA. The hops add a nice dry finish. Overall this is a really nicely balanced APA, with malts and hops.
D: Nice drinkablility with a balanced taste, this is a sessionable APA.

A: Pours a hazy copper color with a fingers worth of yellowish white head. The head dissipates leaving nice lacing all the way down the glass.

S: The smell is a bit more subdued than I would have thought with malts and a bit of hops and lemon. It smells like a fresh clean beer.

T: The taste follows the smell with some nice hop bitterness balanced with some sweet malt. There are also some nice spicy and citrus notes that come through. As this beer warms more and more flavor comes out making this beer seem more like an IPA then an APA.

M: Medium bodied with medium to light carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel with a nice clean finish.

D: Drinkability is very good with this beer. As the beer warms more and more hop bitterness and flavor comes out which is nice. I can see myself dinking many of these on a warm summer day!

A: Pours a great copper/dark amber color with a creamy off white foam top about 3/4" which disappears somewhat rapidly. Sticky , clinging to the wall of the glass as the contents slide down leaving behind a nice thick film of beer foam.

S: Immediately the hops smack you in the face, and make the mouth water, while the malts hang out in the back and keep it tied together.

T: Grapefruit bitter hops suckerpunch the mouth, and a very balanced malt bill steers you to a second sip. The malt side you have some sweet caramel notes dancing on the tongue.

M: Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation, a slight bit of an alkaline taste in the back. Very delishious.

O: Very drinkable and would welcome another one of these at som time hopefully in the future.

Picked up some Michigan brews on the road with work and brought back 2 six packs to work thru that either I have never had or rated.

A-Pours mostly transparent. Brilliant orange color. Minute head is frothy and creamy. Leaves a ton of consistent lacing. A pretty APA.

S-Smells initially of light clementine flesh. A bit of sweet bread and caramel behind the orange and clementine citrus. Overall, a pretty faint aroma, but what it there, is pretty nice smelling.

T-Orange zest. Also a pretty nice lemon peel flavor that lingers. Pretty bitter in the finish. The citrus is not intense but it is persistent, which is quite enjoyable. Light sweetness. A bit of a metal-twang in there which is a bit unfortunate.

M-Excellent feel. I will easily polish off this six pack with no trouble because of the body, feel, and carbonation. Carbonation is very soothing, and plentiful. Rather light bodied. Bitter.

O/D-Overall this did not blow me away but I thoroughly enjoyed my first bottle, and will see the other 5 disappearing quite rapidly. I truly do enjoy a rather mild APA more often than not. I probably would not buy another six-pack, but this is a nice beer.

Back in Michigan on business, and the liquor stores here are packed with odd sounding Short's Brews. Key Lime Pie? Nicie Spicie? Rusty Trombone? OK, only two of these are really beers, and they sound interesting but also a little scary. Nice to find something more traditional.

Drunk from the bottle, gets a free pass on appearance.

Not much going on up the nose! Pretty mild, a little bit of bakery. Pleasant, but nothing to get you in the tent.

The taste is a balance between hop and barley, would have expected a bit more hop, but hey, brewer's license I guess. Something of a doughy, bakery flavor comes through. Pretty good.

Nice drinking beer, offers something for everyone. Would have liked a bit more agression, though.

Cloudy amber with a head quickly dissipates to the glasses edge and leaves a nice lace
Very nice citrus hops with a pale malt backing
The taste is a lot more potent then expect smooth upfront full of pale malts it quickly turns to a hop taste still sweet but a grainy grassy hop it finish with a slight bitter but is still sweet
