My favorite sour so far in their sour series. I have tried their newer ones Critters and Fload but they aren't as nice.

A - Pours a hazy burnt orange with a one finger fizzy white head. The head receded quickly leaving some light soapy lacing.

S - Aroma Is peach, lemon, green apple and white vinegar.

T - The taste starts with a nice hit of sweetness from the pomegranate, peach and overripe berries. The sweetness fades into green apple skin, apricot, lemon peel, and lactic acid.

M - Medium bodied with medium/low carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel with a dry finish.

O - A pretty decent sour. The aroma is a little lacking, but the flavors are on point. Fun beer.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a 16 ounce tulip. Pours a beautiful orange color with minimal white head and lacing. The smell is immediately sour and strong peach. The mouthfeel is heavily carbonated, a bit sticky, but appropriate for a sour. The taste is sour and fruity. The peach is strong along with apple and a sweetness I'm assuming comes from the pomegranate. There is also a salty flavor that really covers through on the backend. Very enjoyable.

I picked up a bottle of Short's Peachy Pom Pom for $15.99 at The Lager Mill. I'm always down to try more sours from shorts and this one sounds pretty interesting, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a brown 22oz bottle into a teku.

A- The label looks good, it has a nice design that goes with the name and it's a little eye catching. It poured a nice red and orange color that took on more of a orange color when held to the light with half a fingers worth of bubbly off white head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it left a little bit of spotty lacing behind. This is a good looking beer, but I wish it had a little better head and lacing.

S- The aroma starts off with a higher amount of medium sweetness with a nice sour candy aroma being the first to show up and it impart a fruity and light peach aroma with not much pomegranate coming through with a slight buttery aroma showing up in the aftertaste. Up next comes a bit more of a sour aroma with some grainy, bready and doughy malt aromas. This beer has a good aroma, the peaches show up nicely.

T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness with the sourness being the first to show up and it imparts a lower amount high sourness that's followed by some big fruit flavors with some peaches really coming through and this time the pomegranate is actually noticeable and it works well with this beer. Up next comes a little bit of those bready and grainy malts that I got in the aroma. Towards the end there's a little lingering sourness and acidity and it had some fruity flavors showing up in the aftertaste. This is a good tasting beer, both fruits show up well and the sourness is nice.

M- Fairly smooth, a little refreshing, a little acidic, medium bodied with a slightly lower amount of medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice, but I wish it had a little more carbonation.

Overall I thought this was a good beer and good example of the style, it was just how I was hoping it would be, it was a little unbalanced in the aroma, but when I got to the taste it seemed to balance it's self out and I like that. This beer had nice drinkability, one glass would be enough for me, I might start to get to acidic for me. What I like the most about this beer is the balance in the taste, it's good and just where it needs to be. What I like the least about this is the carbonation, it needs a little more. I would buy this beer again if I see it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes fruity sours. All in all i liked this beer, it was good and just as advertised. It's not a favorite Short's beers, but it is one of the better sours from shorts that I've had and it's a good example of the style. Good job guys, this is a tasty beer, keep it up. .
