4.5% ABV, brewed with lime and ginger. Pours out to a turbid light amber, barely forming a small head which quickly recedes. Carbonation is moderate, ~2.5 carbs or so. The nose is rich with fresh ginger, smelling exactly like a fresh ginger soda. No lime in the nose. Mouthfeel is smooth, lightly carbonated, light bodied but definitely soda sweet. The taste is quite nice, very refreshing. This tastes just like other ginger sodas, unable to discern this as a beer. Alcohol is not evident at all. Finishes sweet like a soda, no bitterness at all. I don't get any lime in the flavor. Drinkability is high, goes down like soda too.

Overall,I really enjoy this for what it is. Honestly, I can't tell this from a regular soda, so I'm more inclined to just buy a ginger soda instead. Very easy to drink, an excellent thirst quencher.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a very hazy burnt golden; small white head that quickly fades leaving solid retention and okay lacing. The aromas are nice and have alot going on. It smells just like ginger ale. The lime notes really come through. The ginger shines. Some spice notes along with some subtle cream notes. The flavors are slightly sweet and tart without being over the top. It's slightly earthy as well. Lots of ginger and lime. Solid spice aspect in the finish. Mild spiciness. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's light with active carbonation. It's pretty smooth.

This is a solid brew. It's pretty unique, especially for the style. It's basically all ginger and lime, but still has some depth. It's pretty refreshing. I can see this being polarizing and not for everyone.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark gold with a small fizzy white head that goes to a small creamy film that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is lots of ginger and some lime.

The flavor is sweet citrus lime and ginger with a dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an interesting ginger lime beer.

I picked up a bottle of Short's Mule Beer in their new summer variety pack, I'm not a big fan of Moscow Mules, but I'm interested to see what shorts does with this beer, so lets see how it goes. 2016 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a imperial pint glass.

A- The label looks really nice, it goes great with the beer and along with the name it is eye catching. It poured amber orange color that took on more of a golden orange color when held to the light with a fingers worth of bubbly off white head that died down to a thin ring that eventually faded away and it didn't leave any lacing behind. This is a nice looking beer, but I wish the head retention and lacing were better.

S= The aroma starts off with a higher amount of sweetness with a really strong ginger aroma being the first to show up and it's followed by the lime which is almost just as strong and it imparts a big sour lime aroma. Up next comes a little bit of doughy yeast that leads into the malts which impart a grainy and sweet malt aroma with some pale malts showing up in the background. The aroma is nice and just as advertised, but there's not too much balance.

T- The taste seems to be very similar to the aroma and it starts off with a higher amount of sweetness with the lime being the first to show up and it's the flavors that seems to stick out the most in this beer and it's followed by the ginger which is lighter than it was in the aroma, but it's still very noticeable. Up next comes a slight bit of doughy yeast that goes into the malts which impart the same grainy, pale malt and sweet malt aspects that they did in the aroma. On the finish there's no bitterness with a lighter amount of sourness with a lime and slightly lighter ginger like aftertaste. This is a nice tasting beer and it's just as advertised.

M- Fairly smooth, a little crisp, fizzy, a little refreshing, on the slightly lighter side of being medium bodied with a higher amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is nice and it works well with this beer.

Overall I thought this was a nice beer and a nice example of the style, I'm not a real big fan of it myself simply because I don't like the mixed drink it'self and when it comes to that aspect I think they really nailed it. This beer had nice drinkability, but one is more than enough for me, it would really start to ware on me. What I like the most about this beer is that it really lives up to it's name and description. What I like the least about this beer is the fizzy carbonation, I could go without that because it make it feel more like an alcopop than a beer. I wouldn't buy this beer again, but I would recommend it to anyone who like Moscow mules or that heavy ginger and lime combo. All in all this beer just wasn't for me, but it's not bad by any means and it's just as advertised. It's not a favorite shorts beer and it's above average for the style. Nice Job guys, you really nailed the whole moscow mule aspect, keep it up.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 7/6/2016. Pours hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of big ginger, lime, wheat, cracker, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of lime/ginger and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big ginger, lime, wheat, cracker, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light herbal bitter/spicy and lime tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of ginger, lime, wheat, cracker, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice robustness and balance of lime/ginger and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, dry, and lightly grainy/sticky/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Light ginger heat builds through the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.4%. Overall this is a very nice fruit/spiced blonde ale. All around nice robustness and balance of lime/ginger and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Very intense ginger and lime beer. I kind of liked this but only one in a sitting since the lime flavor is very intense. Difineatly worth a try epically if you are a fan of ginger or lime. Very interesting to say the least.
