30 OCT. 2017. Draft&Vessel WI-53211
Draft into 14oz. tulip glass.
Described as ''Wet-hopped IPA'' -
7.7 ABV - 85 IBU.
Tastes more like a good American IPA to me, rather than an APA.
Flavorful. Bitter. Hoppy. Who could ask for more?

Pours a clear light golden bronze color with a thin momentary white head.
Smells like a freshly mowed lawn with a hint of fresh orange and grapefruit.
Taste is very crisp and vivid. Lots of freshly mowed grass up front. Extremely bitter, hint of citrus rind is noted with a strong malt backbone. Again, very bitter on the back end with a lingering cat piss like flavor.
Feel is a bit too thick and heavy for a pale ale. This is solidly an IPA. Prickly carbonation. Bit syrupy.
Overall its not a great pale ale, but as an IPA its a solid beer. Definitely on the bitter side of things.

Pours a glowing honey gold with a couple fingers of rocky foam that exhibits good retention and leaves lots of sticky rings around the glass. Aroma is big, almost from the pop of the cap: floral and grass, syrupy fruits, and caramel. Taste gives up rotating floral, grassy, and pine resin hops flavors with biscuit and caramel malt. Feels fizzy, prickly, semi dry and medium. This ale is indeed very kind.

12 ounce bottle, dated 09/19/16
Bottle into Short's goblet with a slightly hazy, golden hue and moderate, one-finger white head.
Aroma is predominately grassy, with big dank pine and some underlying citrus. Unrefined and raw.
Taste matches the aroma with a raw greeness that coats the mouth. The grassiness and dank pine are the stars of the show here, with a crackery malt sweetness backing it all up.
Mouthfeel is resiny with a building bitterness. Carbonation is moderate, but the resinous nature of the beer leaves hop oil all over the tongue.
Overall, Kind Ale is an unabashed hop assault on the palette. Unbalanced is probably the right word here, but this is what I was expecting in a wet hop beer.
