Bottled 5/27. Poured into a tulip glass.

It is very cloudy, and a deep, glowing orange color. It has an egg shell white foam that disappears entirely, but leaves some lacing on the way down.

The first thing that jumps out at me is it smells very musty/earthy. Very melon like. Also some pink lemonade, grapefruit, and some florally hops. Any malts/grains are hidden.

That musty flavor is there front and center. Kind of rye like. Musk melon, red grapefruit, lemon, a touch of orange, and a Kool Aid mix sort of sugar sweetness. Finishes with some flower petal tasting hops with a significant bitterness that borders on aspirin and a piney and slightly grainy aftertaste. The first hint of any malts.

Medium bodied. Nice balance. A bit airy/fluffy. Easy to drink.

The advertised guava seems to really shine in this beer. Sweet and rustic flavor at the same time. Excellent ipa

This beer is a collaboration with Half Acre. Bottled on 5/27/16. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy glowing golden with a fluffy white head that slowly falls leaving great bubbly retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are very floral with some earthy notes. Lots of citrus. The guava is present. The flavors seem to follow the nose. The flavors are bittersweet and slightly spicy. Some flower pedals in the mix. More citrus. Guava, orange, tangerine and grapefruit is present. Possibly some rye or black pepper in the mix. Finishes juicy and slightly syrupy. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy and smooth. Refreshing and easy to drink.

This is a pretty solid IPA. It's pretty unique as well. I like it.

Pours a golden honey with a slight cap of head that quickly recedes to a ring. So that's what guava smells like...prominent in the nose. Taste follows nose...very interesting, slight bitterness in the end. Very nice.

Received as an extra. I think the bottle date was 03/03/15...which...hopefully isn't true. But...taste and nose will tell.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a hazy orange hue with a one finger white head that fades to leave a thin thin head.

S- Aromas of light sweet malts, caramel, good tropical guava, earthy, almost musty, light citrus rind (mostly grapefruit).

T- Taste is sweet caramel malts, light bitterness, decent tropical notes, guava being the primary one. The guava is more candied and paste as opposed to fresh. Not much hop notes really just a fair amount of guava.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, makes it feel a bit sticky.

O - Overall, this was a fun beer. Drank more like a guava ale, as the hops were a bit lacking, however, all around a decent beer.
