Canned 06/19/17

Pours an effervescent amber with a pinky of beige head. Disspaointing head retention lacing & head retention, kind of shocked...

S: Guava, breadyness, started strong, finished weak

T: Follows the nose, some pears & breadyness as well up front. Mango, orange peel & Guava as well as dryness, & a little breadyness once warm. Finishes with a little pomelo, plenty of Guava, mango & tangerine, plus dryness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, stellar balance

Great take on the style with well hidden ABV. Would be on my permanent rotation given the chance!

$1.99 single bottle from my local Meijer.

Look - Deep sunset hazy orange with a low clarity. Carbonation appears low and the head stacks to around two fingers of froth that slowly dies down

Smell - Fruit from the added guava. Has a spicy malty presence. Typical flowery and grassy hop levels.

Taste - More malty than hoppy. Spicy bread levels with some slight flower and a heavy guava mango mixture.

Feel - Fairly thick body with a nice pillowy factor due to the well retained head. Stays malty with the guava always there to remind you.

Overall - I feel this one would have been aeons better had the malt levels bee turned down. The guava really wanted to shine in all its juicy glory but it simply couldn't take dominance due to the bready aspect. A perfectly fine beer but I'll pass in the future.

Pours into a standard pint a clear golden with a thinner but well sustained bone white head atop.Pure guava nectar in the nose, very fresh and inviting, some light pine resin is detected as well. The guava hits up front then a big does of toasty bready malts followed by quite a bit of resinious notes, quite a mish mash of flavors.I liked it but something on the flavor profile seemed a bit different, glad I tried it.

Pours golden orange. Short, foamy, white head fades fast.

Smells bready malt, citrus, herbal, floral, pine.

Tastes citrus, pine and bready malt fading quickly to a nice amount of guava and mango. Light honey and pepper. Finish is dry pine linger that lasts a while. Medium body and smooth medium carbonation
