Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy amber with a two inch head; decent retention and spotty lacing

Smell: The guava adjunct really influences the aroma, bringing melon and pine tones; biscuity malt elements, too

Taste: Biscuity malt flavors lay down the backbone, with guava tones developing; melon elements build, too, with piney bitterness growing, after the swallow; the pine lingers into the finish, along with the tropical fruit

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A really interesting twist, bringing the guava flavors into an IPA

Thanks, RoguePT, for the opportunity

Pours a slightly hazy dull orange yellow with a finger of pillowy off-white foam.

Very tropical fruit notes of guava, papaya, melon, and subtle citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit.

Big juicy guava, papaya, lemon, and a laid back biscuity malt backbone.

Light-bodied, medium carbonation, juicy.

Overall, two of my favorite breweries collide and made a damn good beer!

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance
Blonde with 1 finger of tight white head. Good clarity with lively carbonation.

Nose
Guava, pineapple, and candied lemon.

Taste
Loads of guava juice. Eucalyptus, bright florals, and pine with lesser notes of pineapple and lemon zest. Slight biscuit maltiness. Finishes with resin, potpourri, and garlic.

Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, juicy, smooth, and dry with a moderate bitterness.

Overall
The guava juice really defines this beer. There is a nice balance between the juice and the hops.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/23/2016. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, papaya, guava, mango, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops, guava nectar, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, papaya, guava, mango, light pepper/pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, papaya, guava, mango, pepper, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops, guava nectar, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding fruited IPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops, guava nectar, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced bitterness. A highly enjoyable offering.

Not too hoppy. Smells fruity and is smooth in taste. Taste a little fruity.
