Carrot Cake is an Experimental Strong American Brown Ale developed to taste like a traditional carrot cake. The malty rich base provides the “cakebatter” to support the ginger, allspice, cinnamon, maple syrup and carrot puree for additional depth, complexity and flavor. Simcoe hops and orange zest add a slight citrus element coupled with the vanilla and marshmallow fluff to deliver the cream cheese frosting component

Look - orange and thick, going right down the lines as carrot
Smell - really has the cinnamon sweet carrot cake smell with cream cheese
Taste - dialed was down compared to the smell. Cinnamon slight carrot cake, kids not as bold. Still has the cream cheese frosting
Feel - lighter body with a medium carb. Would be better thicker
Overall - creative and enjoyable

Very excellent experimental brown ale. Served on tap, 10 oz pour in a snifter. Opaque brown in color. Aromas of spices dominate: warm cinnamon, allspice, and hints of ginger swirl around brown bread. Flavors are pretty close to the real thing: nice balance of spices mixed with earthy carrot, sweet notes of maple and cream, with biscuit and rich brown bread. Can only hope this one sees a bottle release sometime.
