Triple IPAs are notoriously laced with subtle sweetness and residual heat, so we leaned hard into those flavor notes by adding golden raisins during fermentation. Raisin Apollo delivers a citrus palate punch (thanks to six separate additions of Apollo hops during an extra-long boil) complimented by the aroma of fresh-cut grass and whispers of marmalade.

12 oz can from Wolverine Market in Port Huron, Michigan.
Appearance. Slightly hazy copper colored body with an unusually durable off-white head.
The raisins add some of the dark fruit notes common in Belgian beers without reducing the bitterness below a level that is ahove average for the style. Hoppy and fruity, not unusual for an IPA, but the raisins add a new element that increases complexity and that works well for my taste.

Light amber with some cloudiness, nice beige head, good retention, thick bands of lacing
Smells like raisins, sweet malt, maybe a bit of citrusy hops
Resiny bitterness up front and lasting way past the finish, golden raisins, some sweet malt
Actually goes down fairly easy. Medium bodied, appropriately carbonated, alcohol is definitely warming but you don't taste it.
They've been brewing this for over 10 years now. Why? Who loves this beer?

Canned on 10-6-22. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours amber with solid clarity and transparency; creamy light khaki head that falls leaving great retention and sticky frothy lacing.
The aromas are on the subtle side. Hints of tropical fruit. Some caramel. Some breads. Malts are there. It smells nice, but I'm sure it smelled even better when it was fresher.
The flavors are bolder than the nose. Lots of pineapple leading the way. More caramel. Some pine resin in the mix. The golden raisins come through and do their thing. Nice hop flavors. Moderate sweetness. Moderate bitterness. That would make this one bittersweet. Strong malt backbone. Finishes on the juicier side. Mild warmth in the finish but the alcohol is ultimately well hidden.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely soft, fluffy, and smooth.
This is a nice "Triple IPA". The aromas haven't held up but the flavors are still really nice. Really nice hop flavors. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done.

Piney and resiny, this guy has legs for days. And sneaky on the ABV if it is indeed 9.9%. Easy drinking and well done.

Sounds like they brought this back for Christmas as it's in this 18 pack. I honestly liked it, it had good hop bitterness and flavor with a slightly different malt backbone. Smooth and easy drinking as well
