Pours a clear golden orange. Lacing lingers on the pint glass for the duration. Nose is too subtle, almost none existent. I picked this up in February and bio indicates summer availability. Bottle date shows Jan 16, 2017 so i know it's only 3 weeks old. Should be a stronger nose. Bitter piney, grapefruit taste . Not bad, but I prefer other Shorts IPA's like Huma and Hanging Frank's (prefer this name over Controversial Ale). Nice crisp finish, without a strong after taste. Good, not great beer. Glad I tried it.

Pours orange-gold. Medium, thick, white, long lived head. Lacing.

Smells citrus, grassy, light pine, slight bready malt and hints of vegetal

Tastes grapefruit peel, citrus, light malt. Finish is dry and strong bitter pine finish. Lighter medium body and smooth medium carbonation.

Nice all around IPA with grapefruit zest added. Good balance and not too sweet. Compares favorably with Grapefruit Scuplin. My guess is 50% of those drinkers would prefer Hopstache if they did a blind test. So far with the few beers I have tried from Short's I'm pretty impressed and not a homer since I live in Chicago and not MI.
