Poured on tap at Churchkey DC into a tumbler.

Off tan brown head produced and presented one finger tall, kind of a creamy appearance. Very very dark dark brown walnut like black body. Brew keeps a real solid puck while drinking and leaves lots of clumping lacing too.

Great solid nose on this beer. Airy dry chocolate, almost powdered cococa, but also with a milky sensation. Lingering mild roast as well. Solid.

Taste brings a nice soft citrus body to the palate with lots of grapefruit. Great meld of hop orange bitter and roast character dryness. Excellent feel on this brew with creamy and coating characteristics that hit the tongue so perfectly. Chocolate nose sensations don't seem to come through so much upon the taste.

Really loved the feel on this brew more than anything and it brings all the good qualities of this style together. Real nice black ale.
