Thank goodness someone told us about this place - it is part of Bruges and you cannot not go there.
The beer was out of this world, the atmosphere made everyone feel welcome. If you like good beer you can stay kinda feel.
Next time we are in Bruge hopefully my wife won't be passed out from too many Triples at Garre and can make it here.

No space but they fit so many in. Incredible beer selection. If you are hungry, get the pasta and ask for hot sauce. Get out of your shell and talk to a few people, you'll love it.

Fantastic small pub atmosphere. Incredible beer list, including draft and bottles. Prices weren't bad at all. Great service! Would strongly recommend a visit if you are visiting.

stopped in for a round of beers while we were in Brugge, before dinnertime (they opened at 1600 or 4pm).
place is a bit cramped and crowded but it had character with the old beer signs and whatnot. we ordered off the draft list, but they had a good bottle list as well. service was good for a packed house.

Great bar, very old looking with tonnes of beer mats and old bottles on the walls/shelves. Great selection of beers with a menu several pages long and plenty of well-priced beers. Had a about 6 or 8 beers on-tap too I think. It opens later most days and got busy quite quickly but there was some free seats in the back room most of the time. Definitely somewhere I'll visit again if I'm back in Bruges.

Clearly had to make a stop at the classic while in town. Got there not too long after it opened. It was pretty full, but we were able to find a table in the corner. Service wasnt fast, but wasnt too slow either. About what I came to expect while in Belgium. Great beer list and a nice tap list as well. Fun vibe in the place with a mix of locals, beer geeks and tourists coming and going. Beer list was extensive and fun to peruse. As expected, everything was properly served. Definitely a must stop while in Brugge.

The Bruges Bear is an absolute gem, even by Bruges standards!
The place is tiny, basically a bar and a living room with some rickety seats and tables, and a bunch of knick knacks on the walls. The feel is familial and inviting, and just the right amount of quirky.
As for the beer, well, it doesn't get much better than this. Five taps with good variety, and an insane bottle list of both all the staples of Belgian beer and some amazing guest bottles. Everything is of course presented in the correct glassware and poured with flair and skill. The people who work here know, understand and care about what they serve.
Didn't try food, but the platters of cheese and cured meats looked great.
This was the highlight of my visit to Bruges, and one of the 5 best bars I've ever been in. A MUST in Bruges.

Located on a narrow street of the main shopping street in the city - The Little Bear was my favorite place in Brugge - so sad I only hit it once due to the timing of things, but I loved the vibe and was so happy to meet Daisy who was so friendly, kind and attentive despite the place being pretty busy. The Little Bear is not a big place - basically two rooms with a small bar and small tables. Think lots of wood, a little old and a bit dank! Our party of five took over an entire corner of the backroom. Draft list was solid - nothing crazy, but better than most places in the city. Bottle list was quite good - I enjoyed some De Dolle beers and Daisy was happy to provide my family (non-beer drinkers) with some recommendations that made them all happy. Prices were the best in Brugge in my opinion. I had brought a few fresh pale ales and IPAs over from the States to gift and she kindly returned the favor by gifting me in return with a "little bear" and a pin to bring home. Generally speaking, you're not going to find the crazy draft list you would see in Brussels; however, I loved the vibe (a mix of locals, tourists and enthusiasts) and found 't Brugs Beertje to be in my top five beer bars to date. A must visit!

This place is what grabbing a beer at a Belgium pub is all about to me. Daisy and the staff are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The selection is excellent, but the taps are limited (and weren't particularly exciting).

First stop on Brugges 2015, beer selection was great, I just wish they offered a couple of alternative styles to Belgian only offerings. I get that it's a Belgian beer bar, but I might have stayed more than 4 hours if they had a Gose or IPA palette cleanser.
Meet some awesome Britts on holiday, overall nice experience. Worth a visit!
