Stopped in here for dinner. Not to crowded yet. Walking in was the hostess with seating/bar off to the left and more seating off to the right. We went right. Sat down. Service was good, no complaints. Selection is where this place tanked. 3 house beers which I am pretty sure are contract brewed. I had a Mannys Pale Ale but they also had BB Porter and Mac and Jacks African Amber. The rest is pretty much BMC or equivalent. My mannys was really fresh and tasty. Food was very good. However, at $6 for a pint I can grab anywhere in Seattle. I may pass o the beer here and stick to the food. To bad BYOB is not an option here.

Didn't expect a beer treat here but the location in Tigard just off i5 surprised me. They have their own selection supplied by a micro-brewery as well as a decent selection of micro and macro brews for a non beer centric venue.

The Honey Blonde Ale was a great beer! Didn't bang you over the head with hops and had a distinct honey flavour that wasn't too sweet.

My only complaint, their licence won't allow them to fill my growler! Who is the supplier of this very pleasent brew???

It is of course a chain resteraunt.

Claim Jumper is much better at food then they are at beer. Their ambience is also a bit lacking, but remember that it is a chain, largely found in stripmalls. Given that, they do a pretty good job. I'd say they're the "coolest place in SouthCenter" for what that's worth.

Getting to the beer, it's got quantity, and even some quality, but by & large it stays mainstream, formula, and ordinary. This is true in both the draft & bottle selections. By comparison, TapHouse Grill in Bellevue has done a much better job of combining "formula" with a kick-ass beer selection for real beer lovers, without alienating the regular amber & Pyramid Hefe lovers. It would be nice to see Claimjumper take more chances w/ their beer list, especially in places like Seattle where the market would support it.

Additionally, the service is great for food and general attention to customers, but from a beer perspective the servers & bartenders don't seem to know much about the beers they're serving.

Okay this is the ultimate beer drinkers restaurant. The atmosphere is always popping. It is in an old west motif with wood tables and pillars and fire places scattered through out, reminds me of yellowstone cabins. Anyway the quality of this place will stand out from the get go, there food is exceptional and there beer selection beats any other restaurant out there. (bars as well for that matter) They had 22 beers on tap last time I was there, I will warn you that it goes from anywhere from 16 to 25 depending on season. Also the bottle selection is over 45. You can get Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout, Black Butte Porter, and Sierra Nevada Celebration (seasonal) here as well. For a small corkage fee they do have BYOB. The beer list is broken into countries, they have a few beers from many of the countries of the world, of course alot of the local Seattle stuff is here as well. You can get Dogfish, FishTale etc. I stuck with the Oatmeal Stout on my visit, I will say that they have Mississippi Mud Black and Tan, I thought this was pretty funny because they serve it in that big ass jug that you see in the stores. The service is great, it is always packed here so the staff seems to handle crowds well. The selection of the food is great as well, they have everything from Italian, tex mex, mexican and of course beef and plenty of it. There prime rib is excellent and so is the fajitas. The portions are so big, guaranteed you will go home with a doggy bag. While the beers are on the spendy side, about 4.00 for most, it is still worth it. A great place to take the spouse and not give up quality beer selection. Here is a little tip for you, during happy hour if you buy a drink beers go for 3.25 or buck off other drinks, you can get there BBQ chicken pizza for 3.00. So for 6.25 you can get a beer and a great pizza (killer) so that is a great lunch time or after work idea. You will love this place, as much as I did, guaranteed.
