Pours a clear copper color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of slight citrus hops, sweet malt, slight pale malt, hint of tea, and a hint of caramel malt. Fits the style of an English Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable bitterness. Tastes of a hint of citrus hops, sweet malt, pale malt, hint of tea, and caramel malt. Overall, good appearance, blend, and aroma.

Poured as an honest pint.
A) poured with a finger thick head then settles to a thin lacing on top. Clear, copper body. Lacing is thin and sticky.
S) Mellow malt aroma. Caramel and nutty.
T) Light caramel. Hints of pecan. Grainy. Citrus lingers in the finish.
M) Smooth. Light to medium body. Dry finish.
D) A nice, refreshing brew. True to the style. I'd have another.

I had this one at the Downer's Grove Emmetts on 2/14/2009.

A= This ale poured a deep orange/amber color with a 3/4" off white head that dropped fairly quickly and left behind huge sticky sheets of web lace.

S= Aromas of biscuity and caramelly malt, earthy hops, and a light toasted/nutty scent.

T= The flavor profile was a nice blend of pale and caramel malts lending the biscuity flavors up front. These were soon met by a full on earthy and spicy hop character and a bit of fruity ester. Finish was just dry enough to make me want the next drink.

MF= Light side of medium body, with a moderately crisp mouthfeel.

D= Highly drinkable English style session ale here, with an excellent flavor and aroma. I will gladly have some more of this asap.

Amber body, white head with limited retention and lacing
Fresh hoppy aroma.
Well complemented hops/malt mix. Muted hops and almost grassy feel. Not overwhelming but good nonetheless. Medium mouthfeel, coming off rather smooth and drinkable. Definite session brew that reminded me of pints had in England.

(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer has an amber clear body with a strong carbonation of tiny bubbles and a creamy foam that fade after a bit.

S- The smell of spicy hops has a hint of green fresh hops to it and a faint pineapple citrus note.

T- The neutral taste of toasted malt gives a backbone to the big juicy green hops that have a slight herbal quality to them..

M- This beer had a medium mouthfeel.

D- This beer was smooth with crisp malt and a nice hop taste but it needed a little more complexity to really excite me.

Sunday special at $6.50 per pitcher. Beer is a nice gold with a bit of chill haze. Off-white head and tons of lacing.

The nose is of lemon peel & biscuit.

Nice refreshing example of an English ale. It slightly bitter with some nice citrus taste. The malts are very evident and add a nice backbone and taste of wheat bread. Some apple taste hovers in the background. Easy to pair with food.

Soft yet crisp mouth. This is a near perfect session beer. Well done indeed!!

Pours a clear amber with an moderate head that persists and provides good lace. Aroma of caramel malt and modest citrus american hops. Flavors similar with a very low but nice level of diacetyl - correct for the style. Creamy mouthfeel. Mild bitterness that was soft in finish. Very well balanced. Looking at the quickly empting pint glass I find dense rings marking each quaf of this nice English Ale.
