I have to admit I was skeptical when we decided to make this place our stop for lunch. I am glad we did. We had a fine time and we even came back for beer and dinner two nights later.

I really like the layout and the atmosphere of the place. The upstairs has a balcony which is nice for summer nights and great for a view of the river and people watching during the day. The downstairs is large and at first glance there is a bland feel to the place. Once seated and having a look around, one begins to relax and the vibe becomes much more friendly. The bar is a half rectangle and the glass jelly fish lights above the bar gave it an eclectic feel. There was some old fashioned swag and some very large paintings on the walls. Not bad paintings either.

The overall quality is very good to excellent. Clean tap lines, clean bathrooms and a very well kept establishment.

The staff works hard and is friendly. The servers we had did know something about the beer CCB brews. They had a better knowledge of the food though. Service was prompt, especially for drinks. A tip. If you do not specify what size beer you want, the default is the 24oz. glass.

The food here is a mixture of New O'rleans and straight up American with a little creativity thrown in. I enjoyed the food here. The crab stuffed shrimp is good. On my first visit I had a piece of fish. Very well prepared. The shrimp po boy sandwich is huge. The calimari is not your normal calimari. There is not much breading and it is mixed together with vegetables. I thought it was a bright new twist on this favorite appetizer. The oyster shucker knew what he was doing and overall I thought the menu had plenty to offer. Plus the desserts get raves.

I thought the beers were fine. Nothing eye opening but fine for this city and this restaurant. I had the Roggin beer. It could use more of a rye flavor but it went well with my food and the flavors worked for me. The Tomahawk IPA was not a brutal hop monster but it was not a watery unflavored beer either. It still could use a bit more hops. I enjoyed this one with my oysters. Excellent combonation. Citrus and oysters. They try to have one beer for everyone. A malty beer, a light bodied beer, a red, a wheat beer and a seasonal or special beer. Again, the beers are not knock your socks off wowzas but they taste fine, are well made and I think work for the city of New O'rleans.

This is a quality place. Good staff, well run, clean, with good food and beer. I do recommend stopping by here and giving this place a try if you are in New O'rleans. It may not be for everyone but then again nothing is.

Note: CCB has a walk up beer window for those on the go. Get a go cup with your favorite CCB beer and head in to the quarter. They have growlers.

Average to poor beer quality and only had a few to choose from. Several people in our group asked for flights and the waiter said they were out of glasses. After asking manager, the waiter went downstairs and grabbed flight glasses (there were plenty for each of us). Overall, poor and unfriendly service. The food was the only redeeming quality. Crawfish ettoufee was pretty tasty. If I'm ever in New Orleans again, I will not be going back.

This place has a great location and some decent beers to try, but the beer is nothing great. It doesn't have anything off about, but it doesn't anything exciting about either. The food is solid and it has an awesome vibe especially if sit out on the balcony. The service I received was excellent and professional. It is a fun place to check out, but if you are looking for great craft beer, then you will be disappointed.

We ate outdoors on the patio in December, food was spicy and tasty, beer was average, wait was a tad long. Nice view of the park and The French Quarters.

We walked into this place (crescent city brewhouse) and the first thing they said was that they're known for their beer. I can categorically agree, though probably not in the way they want. Probably in the worst 5 breweries I've visited.

One of our favorite stops in NOLA. Not a big fan of other beers in this town, but Crescent City does a solid job with beer and food.

Was so pumped to stop in here when I was in New Orleans as it was literally a block away from hotel... What a disappointment. We finally got in right before a cocktail tour we were going on that met up nearby and sat at the bar. Bar tender came up and when I asked about the beers he started to talk to me about all the other brewery beers. I had to explain I wanted CRESCENT CITY beers. He said oh, here, and showed me a little plastic ad stand with 4 beer options in it. I had their "special" which was the IPA and it literally tasted and smelled like Bourbon Street. That being said, by the time I was done I was actually enjoying it, but was a bit disappointed. No clue about the food...

Pretty standard old school, chain brewpub vibe, near Jackson square, right in the heart of the French quarter. The beer is ok at best and they only had 4 varieties on tap when we were there. Service was decent, but I'm sure it gets a bit dicey when crowded. If this were located just about anywhere else it would struggle to justify its existence, as it is it's about what you'd expect in the most touristy part of the city and the out of touch, lackluster beer is almost a decent option for the area.
