Can from the brewery, clocking in at 3.2% ABV.

Just about spot on for the style. Cloudy straw-yellow pour, bubbly white head that fizzled out quickly. Grainy aroma with a touch of lemon. Slightly tart/lacto/lemony in the taste, toasted grains, just acidic enough to get your inner cheeks watering. Feel is a "5" because...do I have to say it?
Ok, I will. FEEL THE BERN.

Hazy, straw colored. Lacto dominates the nose with an orangey/ lemony scent as well - pleasant.

Taste is just spot on. Lacto at first but not overpowering. Fades to an earthy and citrusy note. Finishes dry and clean.

Light bodied and delicious. Understandably released on Super Tuesday, but I'd love to see this in the summer as well. Worth noting that this batch is 3.2% abv not 2.7% as noted on this site.

Of course I had to buy this beer given my avatar. Go Bernie Go!

Lightly sparkling pale pineapple gummy bear yellow with a quick to disappear and never to return white carbonation.

Smell is hay, corn, Sprite, light wheat and a hint of Colby Jack.

Taste is almost salty like a Gose, with very light wheat, tart lemon, some spring water and a lactic note.

Very light body with a soft effervescence and a semi-dry rub.

Drank from a 12 fl. oz. (355ml) can purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Waterbury, VT
Pkgd on: 06/07/18
Served in a chalice

Ultra pale straw yellow appearance. The nearly transparent body was topped by a small mass of bright white bubbles that quickly fell to a frothy collar. No lacing whatsoever.

Sulfur notes came through strong in the nose. Loads of damp hay too. Slightly musty. Wheaty. Some pale, bready malts were noticeable as well. Moderately sweet. Hint of lemony tartness. A bit soda-like.

The sulfur notes were also apparent in the flavor profile. Bready, biscuity, German-style malts were noticeable up front. Moderate amount of sweetness. Some lemony tartness came through in the center. Hint of acidity. More lemon and lemon rind on the back end and the finish. Bit of sweetness. The malts and sweetness reappeared after the swallow.

Fairly thin and watery mouthfeel, even for the style. The liquid contained a fine, spritzy yet subtle effervescence. This reminded me of seltzer that was going flat.

Lactic acidity? Nope? Lemony tartness? Hardly any. In nearly every regard, this was one of the lightest takes on this typically “light” style of beer I have ever tried. Being a big Bernie fan, I loved the can design and really wanted to like the beer itself. Unfortunately, it left much to be desired.

Wanted this when it first came out. Nice to see a limited release again! Pours a clear whitish-gold hue with a thin head into my glass. Musty wheat comes to mind. Light, crisp and slightly tart. Love the wheat essence in the aftertaste. Skip the IPA and lawnmower lagers and pick THIS up! It goes great on a hot summer day!

This is a pretty classic example of the style. Good sourness and nice lactic funk resembling greek yogert. I would drink this anytime on a hot summer day.

On tap at Zero Gravity. Pale and hazy yellow. Smell is wheaty and a little acidic. Taste follows. Wheat up front. Lemony tartness in the back. Mild Theraflu flavor I don’t love. Light body. Good until the Theraflu flavor.

From bottom of can:

"BERN 1PKGD ON:

Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a slightly hazy light golden body with no lacing and head is gone in a few minutes. Nose of wheat, hay, and a real tiny bit of funk. Mostly tart taste with tart finish and very refreshing. Nice feel and overall, a great little Berliner right here. Cheers!

On tap. VT Brewfest. Served with raspberry syrup. Poured a white-washed pink color. Smells fairly tart. Raspberry syrup is important in the nose. Flavor has plenty of raspberry after the syrup infusion. Still some good tartness. Would have liked to try this sans-syrup too. The ABV is so tiny. Syrup gave it body. I enjoyed this.
