Wen to this place Friday night for dinner while visiting a friend. This was my first time in VT and my initial thought was that it was a pretty cool state. Burlington is a fun little town and the people are all friendly. I will be going back this summer to camp and to check out Magic Hat (which was shut down for the month for upgrades).

The bar area here was crowded (and always is from what I hear). They have about 10 taps and 2 cask ales at a time. The bottle list is extensive and has great thing on it like Saison DuPont, Orval, Dogfish Head (quite a few), Jolly Pumpkin, Unibroue, Samual Smiths, Ayinger, Stone, etc. I had two of their own beers, Dwayne's Dunkel and thought it was pretty good. I also had a cask IPA called Captain Ron that was well balanced.

The menu was simple, yet it had something for everyone. One of my guests was vegan and it was simple for her to find exactly what she wanted off of the extremely descriptive menu full of organic, locally supplied menu items. All of the food is cooked in a huge clay hearth in the back corner. I had a sausage, onion, swiss, and herb flatbread and it was awesome.

The service was friendly, quick, and painless and it wasn't too expensive (especially for being right in the heart of "downtown".

I would definietly go back.

In downtown Burlington, just across the street from Vermont Brewpub, this awesome little brewpub offers up a fantastic lineup of beers, constantly rotating but always keeping Conehead and Green State Lager as their flagship beers. Pizza is creative and proving itself to be a great option here. Very clean, and efficient service. If Vermont Brewpub is crowded, give this little place a shot.

Cool place. The courtyard is quaint and the upper deck is the perfect place to wait for your table to be readied.

Both the pine street and flatbread locations are very inviting. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

First impression (and my only time there) was that it was kinda antiseptic as breweries go. All shiny and bright and modern. Good beers though and certainly I would go back but I was kind of surprised as a first timer who has gone beer trailing in Maine/NewH/Vt/Mass this was in a decor of it's own.

A cool spot with nice artwork and vibe, the bartender was very nice and cool. Nice merch and a sour 750ml in bottles to take away. Beer was good, nothing outstanding and the selection was decent. Would go back.

American Flatbread is right off of the main town-green, and just south of the Vermont Pub & Brewery. It casual and warm inside (wood floor, wood bar, mirrored back bar, exposed brick walls, tin ceiling, fireplace), although it's showing its age (that can be seen as charming though). The bar is directly to the right as you enter, or you can get a table at a multitude of different spots, which is nice because it's kind of broken up into smaller areas which can be more comfortable.

It's an old building which brings some character with it already, and the menu and some of the artwork they've got up have a kind of 70's hippie-vibe. But we're not really here for the decor, are we? No, we're here for beer and pizza! (Actually, it's flatbread).

There are 16 taps. I'm not sure what the connection with Zero Gravity is, or where they came in, but I'm guessing that they couldn't produce enough beer and so they brought ZG in as partners. Or I could be completely wrong, did it start as ZG and they expanded???... yeah, that's the ticket! What does it really matter if you're getting high-quality beers that for the most part that you can't get somewhere else?

On to the flatbread. There's only one other place in the Burlington area that I think does "flatbread" just as well, but only one, and I won't name them. This is the real stuff, made with organic wheat, and baked in a wood-fired oven! You can choose from their offerings or you can create your own. Personally I'm a little plain, but I like their "Medicine Wheel" which is just organic tomato sauce with mozzarella, grana padano, and Italian herbs - there's no need to muddy the waters if the basics are already perfect!

Given the food options that are available, and especially right in the area, I'd certainly recommend it. Two thumbs up!
