Pours a chesnut brown with a tinge of auburn,a half finger light tannish colored head atop.Aromas are a little muted with some earthiness,caramel,and light citric hops mainly.A well rounded palate with malty caramel and nuttiness to go along with earthy and citrusy hops in the finish.Not bad,I like the flavor profile but the aromas are pretty light,on par with other "brown" IPA styles I have had.

Mahogany colored with ruby highlights and a beige foamy head that rises up thickly and slowly settles out, leaving a thick ring around the glass atop the liquid. Inviting aroma of kilned malt and floral and citrus hops.
Flavor is mostly hoppy, not very malty. It's citrusy upfront, some grapefruit and orange rind, morphing gradually to subtle piney notes. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, somewhat tannic. Not a very balanced beer. I expected more.

Aged it. Drank it today. Held up surprisingly well. Got boozier than the ~6% ABV i started out as.

Bomber served in imperial pint glass. Beer is unsurprisingly brown in color with a nice tan head. Super fresh hop aroma, with Amarillo (and apparently Simcoe) right up front. Surprisingly bright smelling for an IPA this color. Flavor is similarly hop forward. Ample IBUs considering the gravity is so tame. I find the bitterness and carbonation so aggressive that I'm not getting roasty chocolate flavors at all. But, as an IPA with an optical gimmick, maybe that's ok.

A) Pours with a finger thick head that settles to a sticky lacing at the edge of the glass. Mahogany, almost ruby in color. Semi-sticky lacing on the drink down.
S) Toasty, roasted notes with hints of chocolate.
T) Roasted, almost burnt, malt sweetness. The hops are a bit astringent against the malt tones.
M) Medium body. Dry in the finish.
O) This is definitely a mash-up between a brown ale and an IPA, prominent characteristics of each, but it's a bit too much.

On tap at MacGregor's Grill and Taproom on East Avenue in Rochester, NY.
Pours a walnut with a creamy looking half inch head, and encompassing sheets of lacing down the glass, a branded MacGregor's dimpled mug.
Aromas include pine, and caramel, and a little bit of smoke. Not a really strong aroma on this one.
The taste is stronger, but still a little bit muted. Not sure if this is an old keg, wouldn't be surprised since 1) this is MacGregor's 2)it's on special. It doesn't taste bad, per se, but it seems like it could be much more. Pine, some ashy smoke, caramel malt, a little bit sweet near the end.
Medium bodied, could be thicker. High carbonation, pretty drinkable.
Not bad, but not great, either.

A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains maple, caramelized malts and some hops.
T: The taste starts out with mildly sweet flavors of maple and caramel. Then a decent hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, decent kick, good variation of style, it’s a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for a hoppy brown ale.
