L - Off-Orange-is hue with small white head. Minimal to fair lacing.
S - Pretty strong citrus smell. Orange peel and grapefruit.
T - Slight grapefruit, which was nice.
F - Semi-dry finish.
O - Pretty nice tasting beer, and easy drinker. Really good on this summer day.

This is kind of an oddball for me. I have no idea where it came from! I see that my local, in-person trader, tone77, was the first reviewer, but it is not my approved photo, which is generally the case when he drops beers off for me that he has added/reviewed/both. A head-scratcher, but not a show-stopper & so on I go!

From the bottle: "Loaded with Citra hops and grapefruit peel, this IPA is ripe with citrus flavor."; "Our love of the summer sun, fresh IPAs, and citrus fruit, inspired this IPA."; "Summer fests[,] Summer songs[,] Summer Fridays[,] Summer Vacations[,] Summer flings [-] In case you needed a reason for a citrusy Summer IPA".

I Pop!ped the cap & began a slow, gentle pour since it was a) of unknown origin & b) the smeared "Enjoy By" date definitely ended in "17". 8=( Sorry. Once sufficiently decanted, an in-glass swirl raised just oer two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with good retention that left behind beautiful lacing in its wake. Color was a beautiful solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very citrusy with a grapefruit bite and a lemon tartness underlain by a biscuit maltiness. I always evoke lemon biscotti from Enrico's Biscotti in Pixburgh's Strip District when I encounter this sort of thing. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was bright, hoppy, sunny Citra Sea and just what I needed on a cold Winter evening after a snow day closure. The grapefruit was not overly pronounced, allowing the lemony flavor from the hops to also shine through and the dry, biscuity malt was a perfect accompaniment. All of that said, it came off more like a Session IPA than an AIPA in that I found myself unfulfilled in terms of its bitterness. Yes, it was a fine beer, in Summer or Winter, but for the style, I want bitterness! 8=( Finish was dry, citrusy, refreshing, but just not bitter enough to rate per the site's Style guidelines.

L: pours bright copper amber under a thin white cap with fair to poor retention

S: smells of citrus and light malts, light biscuit and has a spicy, floral note.

T: flavors are juicy with zest and pith. They start citrusy and orange with a light sweetness backed with biscuit. A little more fruit comes out in the middle and then a big grapefruit rind bitterness provides the finish

F: medium bodied beer with medium high carbonation

O: The big citrus flavors of this IPA make it a refreshing choice for summer

Pours a hazy orange color. Citrus and bitter resin in the nose, taste is bitter but also with breads and biscuit malts. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Not a huge fan of this.

A: Pours a copper color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap

S: Citrus peel and light citrus fruit up front along with a caramel malt backbone

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and citrus peel and goes into a moderate caramel malt sweetness. Light bitterness throughout. Finishes with lingering citrus peel

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A lot more like a moderately citrusy pale ale. Very easy to drink but the hops could be dialed up about 5 notches, especially with this being labeled as an IPA

Copper colored and clear. Lasting head which leaves several rings of lace with plenty of spots in between.

Mild aroma but balanced with toasted malt and light bittering hop.

Nice semisweet caramel start to the taste. The hop comes in slowly without ever becoming too extreme. The body is a bit thin while the carbonation is a bit high, giving this beer a watery mouthfeel.

IPA w/ Citra hops & grapefruit peel. Malt forward IPA. Classic English style IPA with hints of citrus rind. Earthy, brownish malt profile. Shorter finish. Balanced bit of bitterness. Eh, drank more like an amber than an IPA.
