We have added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to create this beer. Consistent with the hefeweizen style, this beer is unfiltered and cloudy with a solid foamy head. UFO Raspberry has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast. The body is light and the unfiltered yeast provides a soft mouthfeel. The taste of the fruit compliments the beer nicely, neither overwhelms the other. There is a faint sweetness on the palate, which finishes cleanly in a semi-dry, tart finish.

Canned 7/6/20
Not sure if I should believe this being branded as a hefe, especially given the entry on here, but we’ll see
Pours a cloudy ruby with 2 fingers of white head that sticks around a while and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is pretty much dominated by raspberry, a bit like a lambic. Subtle hints of wheat and clove support the tart berries but don’t add much
At least taste wise I can see the intentions of keeping this beer somewhat authentic. While sharply tart raspberry and lemon takes over the front end, it is counter balanced by soft wheat and bready malt. I swear I can catch just a hint of banana from the yeast in the aftertaste, but that fould just be power of suggestion
Medium bodied with almost no carbonation, this is very sticky in the finish, sadly quite cloying despite the fact that it’s light and easy drinking
Overall this was just meh. Sadly, barely even worth the $2 single can as it didn’t even give a good buzz

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Lagunitas mason glass
L: Slightly hazed golden burgundy pour with thick foamy white head. Lasts awhile... nice ring of lacing.
S: Raspberry and wheat. Fruit and grains.
T.F: Standard wheat-beer base. Wheat and grain with a bit of yeast. Sweet/tart raspberry... a little jammy but the fruit isn't overwhelming. Medium to light bodied... fizzy carbonation. Lingering raspberry at the finish.
O: A solid fruited wheat. Pretty standard for their 'UFO' series. If you like the base beer you'll enjoy this one.
