Harpoon's "UFO White" is a top notch Brew through and through,of course if you are not a fan of the style, you will probably hate it..[Derp!] anyway,I myself love this amazing Witbier,a very snappy bitter Orange flavor, and nice Wheat backbone with an almost Champagne like Carbonation ~Love it!

A- Very hazy when when poured, settles into a hazy orange color with a small white head.

S- very strong smells of citrus, orange and lemon zest, also a hoppy and wheat beery smell going on.

T- Taste is exceptional and perfectly balanced. I also noticed in the flavor the use of spices such as coriander among others. not to strong in any one way to make it an undesirable to the palate. I feel like all in all this is a beer that should and would please anyone, even those who aren't into bold or more full-bodied brews.

MF- smooth, light, and crisp are a few words that come to mind when thinking about the sensation this beer brings to the palate. This beer is easy to drink fast and seems to grow on you with each and every sip.

D- Very good drink ability with this beer, could drink this for an entire session with pleasure.

This is a great refreshing Witbier. Lightly flavored Orange , with a delicious aftertaste. Very similar to Shock Top original, but without the sweetness. Highly recommend this beer

12 oz bottle poured into a pilsener glass.

Yellow brew with creamy white copious head, swirling in the yeast makes a nice haze.

Clean crisp lemony aroma. Extremely refreshing and drinkable brew, light tangy-lemony taste and very mild spice, no grassy coriander and no banana hefe-weizen notes--this is the most pure and delicious expression of an American-style witbier. Fairly simple but fairly perfect, I keep coming back to it over other wheat beers in the fridge. Well done.

I love this beer. A few sips in, take the time to breathe in through your mouth and you'll really feel the power of the alcohol. Then breathe out through your nose--that's where the orange peel reveals itself into an almost floral zen.

I could be wrong, but this beer is so citrusy, also has a very honey texture when sipped. But it's not heavy. I prefer this over Blue Moon, which, on the contrary, can get sickening. This is personal preference, even with foods, stuff that's too heavy does not appeal to me.

Very smooth pour, head is not thick, but that's okay because the foam will probably delay the enjoyment by just a few microseconds. You want the citrus to hit you w/ a pang for this one.

The malt comes way after.

Two fingers of a dense white head atop this hazy straw colored white wheat beer.

Hints lemon, lightly toasted bread, and spice.

The mouthfeel is medium to full and it is quite delicious.

The taste is sweet with an emphasis on bread and straw. Kind of makes me think of a farm. Bits of lemon and orange along with a spice. Lots of coriander in this white offering.

This is a nice solid witbier from harpoon.

This is one of the best Belgian style wit beers I've sampled. It has all the hints of coriander and orange that other wit beers have (similar to Hoegaarden) and what I enjoyed the most about this beer is how crisp the flavor and pleasing the after-taste. This is one smooth drink. Will definitely have some more.

Witbier is my fave so had to try when I saw at local bodega.

Smell is sweet to me like fruit cheesecake.
Super light and refreshing, even thirst quenching. Goes down smooth, flavors- orange, yeast, coriander and malt. Its a bit spicy and overall sweet, crisp and light.

Had this on tap in a pint glass. The color is a nice straw, and served with an orange. Thin white head on top.

Smell is exactly what you would expect from a white ale. A bit of spice and a faint taste of orange.

Very drinkable white ale. Must have run through half of it before I looked back down from the TV screen at bar. The weather is perfect for this white.

Little thin on the mouthfeel, but that's kind of expected. Good carbonation.

Overall, I really liked it. I ordered a second one!

Clean crisp citrus/orange taste and aroma with bits of coriander spice. This is one extremely refreshing and drinkable beer. It is a GREAT brew for one of those overly hot & humid days like we had the whole month of August.

This is a simple, delicious, easy-drinking, very wet summer beer that will quench your thirst due to the 4.8% abv and 10 IBUs. This is superior to the very similar Long Trail Belgian White ale. A very nicely done American version of the witbier. HIGHLY recommended (in the heat of the summer).

One of my goto beers now that I live in Boston. UFO white is a tasty beer although not quite as tangy as I would like it but give it a shot.

Try Magic Hat's Circus boy--slightly different kind of beer, if you like UFO white. UFO Hefeweizen is not to be missed, it's hard to go wrong with Harpoon.

It's like a truck transporting velvet and spice crashed into an orange grove.

Really refreshing on a hot day, goes down easy, but isn't lacking in flavor. Don't leave these bottles lying on their side though, it unsettles the yeast sediment in the bottom of the bottle and seems to muck up the flavor.

Appearance: Poured a cloudy pale whitish yellow. No “macro” suspension of particles, but the “micro” suspension causes the cloudiness. One finger white head with decent retention (sticks around, but not that much). Plenty of visible carbonation. Not much lacing at all.

Smell: Very strong citrus nose (lemon and orange), with your typical Belgian wheat malt to back it up. Cinnamon and other spices are present as well, but they are more subtle; they blend in nicely as opposed to taking over.

Taste: Light wheat taste, with some lemon present to give it some zip. Some Belgian spices as in the nose, but understated. Sweetness is also understated. Flavors are very mild and subtle, but very enjoyable; no one flavor takes over.

Mouthfeel: Medium-boided and very smooth. While plenty of carbonation is present, doesn’t feel overly “fizzy”

Drinkability: A very good witbeir that is incredibly true to style. Very easy to drink and very refreshing. All the flavors are mild and work together very well. Definitely a great summer beer to just kick back and relax.

Bottle into a proper wheat beer glass, yes. I always shake the last ounce and pour it on top for a great head and the capture of all the good bits. Lovely clouded amber color, but not a lot of smell, which is fine with the style. I like this, it's a good quality witbier.

The appearance is a big hazy, traffic-light yellow. Smooth, foamy head like ice cream on baked Alaska. Illuminated from within; I swear it could glow in the dark. Head goes away after about 4-5 minutes.

The aroma is sweet lemon and citrus waftering above a bready, dry wheat base. Cloves and a spicy champagne aroma. Almost like a mimosa, spicy with orange peel.

The taste is more spicy and "Belgian" than most witbiers. Orange and champagne together. Really different. Sweet and a little bit of lemon sourness, also a bready base.

The feel is fizzy like a bubbly champagne (more champagne!). Creamy and not at all watery. An unusual wit, not unlike Brian Regan. A terrific American version of the style.

Overall, this beer definitely enlightens my soul. It is definitely a go-to beer for me. I can always have a UFO White!

A: yellow, cloudy, unfiltered greatness

S: Has an aroma of orange and coriander

T: very crisp and refreshing

M: I feel the carbonation is well-balanced. The carbonation gives you the crisp and refreshing feeling while not overpowering the multiple flavors in the beer. Even when warm, the beer is delicious.

Wow! A great craft on the classic Belgian Witbier, with the unfiltered characteristic, and enhanced citrus aromas and flavors, this my favorite offering from Harpoon.

Golden hazy hue. Distinct, strong orange, and mild clove nose. Quite sweet up front, then tart, and finally, (mild bitterness in the finish (too mild for my taste). Appropriately thin mouth feel. A nice summer quencher, like all wits, but I wouldn't have more than one.

Tasted at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston.

Whitish yellow color. Very cloudy. Good lasting head that leaves some blankets of lace on the glass.

Soft, subtle aroma of banana, clove and coriander. Attractive and inviting.

The flavor lands closer to the mild side of Wits. This would be an easy introduction into the wheat world. The flavor mimics the smell. Full bodied with elevated carbonation.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours a cloudy yellow with some floating sediment. White head, recedes quickly. No lacing.

Slight citrus smell. Not otherwise memorable.

Taste - very clean, crisp citrus, slightly tart, wheaty, a memorable witbier. Very tasty. Smooth, not a hint of bittering. Slightly carbonated in the mouthfeel.

Very drinkable. Great summer beer. Consume. Repeat.

12 oz.

Pours a light grassy hazy yellow gold, white head retains as a film.

Smells of orange citrus and coriander, hint of banana esters and cloves.

Tastes lightly of orange citrus and zest with light grassy malts and coriander.

Light to medium body with light tingles of carbonation On the roof of the mouth.

A pretty good and enjoyable wit, easily sessionable and quite thirst quenching on a warm day. I bought a sixer of these and will enjoy every last one of them.

A - translucent wheat gold

S - light, crisp, a bit of citrus

T - refreshing wheat beer without being plain at all, actually an enjoyable flavor

M - light but heavily carbonated, refreshing after being out in the sun

D - quite so - no one flavor is overpowering the other

After having the UFO Hefe I was happy to pick up this six pack (as it was also on sale for the week!!!) and give it a try. Glad I did. Just a refreshing as the Hefe and just as enjoyable. I look forward to finishing this six pack (especially as the afternoons warm up).

Appearance- Nice pale straw color with lots of cloudiness. Solid two finger head that reduces itself to a thin covering and doesn't leave any lacing behind.

Smell- A wall of orange peel occassionally penetrated by some wheat.

Taste- Lots and lots of orange peel and coriander. Really the perfect balance though- enough to keep it interesting, but not so much that it becomes overpowering and not as drinkable. Lacks the complexity of some in this style, but very tastey.

Mouthfeel- Great well rounded mouthfeel that is nearly creamy up front and finishes semi-dry. Perfect carbonation refreshes the palate nicely.

Drinkability- Harpoon should have much success with this one. Clearly the best of the UFO beers by a mile, and I would suspect not just good to the typical BeerAdvocate. I'll go out on a limb and say that this will soon be Harpoon's best selling beer.
