Consumed at the brewery on June 29th, 2012. Labeled "Redwood Amber Ale" on the menu, ABV noted at 6.8%.

Appearance: light caramel colored affair with a fine skin of off-white foam. Leaves minimal sheeting.

Aroma is strongly caramel with a dash of fruit juiciness.

Sweet caramel malt flavor. Slightly toasty/biscuity. Virtually no bitterness. Some resiny hop presence on the finish. Think a less sweet, ever-so-slightly more complex Fat Tire.

Medium bodied and properly carbonated.

Drinkable enough, but nothing to get excited over.

I really liked this beer, I had a pint at Surf Rider Cafe in Santa Cruz CA and was able to take a growler home. I'm a little confused as to way its listed as Retired.....
