Light gold color, med head. A light bodied lager style beer. Mild malts and slightly hopped. Mild taste. Mild flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is neutral. There is nothing bad to say about this beer, but nothing good to say about it either, sort of a generic beer. Cheap, but so what.

Pours a darker Macro yellow with a half finger head that disappears to... nothing.
Aroma is an unusual sweet malt.
Taste is sort of a nasty sweet malt and corn with no hops at all...none, zero...nada.
Aftertaste is sort of a stale cloying sweetness.
Bought one bottle....4 sips and I'm done.

A free beer given to me by a good friend who found it on a "closeout" rack at our local beer store.

Pours a fizzy yellow with a decent looking head (for a moment) that then vanishes to nothing. no carbonation, no thin cover, no nothing.

Aroma is sweet corn. Grainy sweetness. Hops? If I keep trying, there might be a faint hint.

Taste is the same, although there really is some protest of a hop bite at the end- just enough to say it's there, but nothing exciting.

Sorry, as my review says, "not impressed".

The beer i'm reviewing here comes in the 12oz. brown longneck with a gold twist-off cap. The difference between the bottle displayed here and the one i'm reviewing is the label background color is gold instead of silver and the neck label on mine has a yellow star as well as the main label, but no yellow banner ribbon.

The real big difference however is the name of brewer on my bottle, get this...instead of being brewed by Coast Range Brewing Co, this bottle is brewed by North American Latino Beer Industries , at Lacrosse, Wi 54601. Underneath that it say's "Visit us at: www.otrabeer.com". Kinda strange, don't you think?? OK, on with the review...

This stuff pours a very watery apple cider looking pale yellow with a small white bubble head that lasts a whopping 10 seconds.

The smell is a dreadfully sweet corn syrupy, metallic and dusty adjunct of a brew. Macro lager piss comes to mind.

The taste, believe it or not, is even worse...sweet adjunct riddled wort could be used to describe it best, i'm not joking.

Fizz watery mouthfeel, no body, no balance...no more ,PLEASE!

I would not recommend this brew to anyone or anything...sorry. Definitely not worth the 99cents I payed for the punishment in this bottle!

Poured into a pilsner glass it forms a quick fast fading whispy head that leaves an occasional lilly pad of lace. Pale, yellow, medium carbs.

Really sweet all the way around. Sweet corn malts are really cheap tasting, hence the $2.97 a six pack price. Lots of good beers out there on the cheap this just happens to not be one of them. Crisp? hell no, the linger sweat corn syrup lays around for days. Clean hell no, this is a debacle of adjuncts. Stop by your local 99cent store at your own risk for this stinker. Surprisingly sitting on the non air conditioned, flourescent lights didn't skunk it a bit, just bad.

One of the worst brews I've ever consumed. But holding true to form it was still finished. Far from toxic. Paging Coast Range, Paging Coast Range....stop this madness.

Presentation: A standard 12 fluid ounce brown glass bottle with a silver-gray obverse label that has a yellow star with the word OTRA in green with the word Beer written in Black below it.

Appearance: Poured with a decent enough head, but it was one of those false looking frothy white jobs. Pale gold colored body that looks flat as soon as the head quickly disappears. Then it really does look like a stale urine sample, which is quite apt considering.

Nose: Off putting sweet processed aromas. Forced and unnatural. The best way I can describe it as the smell that you get from stale lager left in Cans the morning after the party the night before.

Taste: Sickly sweet perfumed corn flavor, one-dimensional, it is exactly the same at the end as it was at the beginning. Awful.

Mouthfeel: Way below average, insipid feel on the tongue and a wishy-washy feel in the mouth. Leaves a sticky “cheap beer” feel after the swallow.

Drinkability: I managed the first 4-6 ounces; the rest went down the drain.

Overall: I wish I would have read the other Reviews before I splashed my coin on this one. Quite awful. NOT recommended. The front label also says “Quality Beer since 1999”, oh yeah? I wonder what it’s called because it ain’t this offering.

12oz. bottle

Pours a hazy very weak yellow. Close to an off white color. No head and no lacing. Scents are weak. There is an okay sweet honey smell. but after that the scents are fighting one another. A bit of weak hay finds its way out.

Flavors are sweet with honey. Some wheat and a tiny amount of a sweet buttery malt. There is some wet grass mixed in as well. Flavors do not mix too well and they need some direction. This beer is not bitter but it is only smooth in flavors because they taste restrained.

Crisp in the mouth. A mild sourness in the very end. There is an okay fullness to the mouthfeel. This is s very smooth drinker and could be a session beer or a refreshing beer on a hot day. Maybe this beer would go okay with a salad? I would not reach for another one even though these go down easy. Just not much here.
