12 oz bottle. Green lablel with California valley depicted. Clear and shiny yellow color. Faint skinny white head. Some sweet citrus smells. Taste is fruity to start, hard to place what fruit, but it's a touch sweet. Beginning is dominated by a full malt sweetness as well, not unpleasant though. Nice refreshing crispness to it. Tartness is very noticable. Slightest hop bitterness just at the end. Tastes alot like a blonde lager. Would be a great summer refresher. Medium bodied. Full carbonation. A very tasty beer, but then again, I like them all.

Appearance - Pours a slightly cloudy, gold/straw with a small, white head despite an aggressive pour. The head has no staying power, and no lacing.

Smell - Lots of malt sweetness. Not much else. Maybe a hint of hops. Smells like it's under-attenuated.

Taste - Somewhat grainy with a vegetable/corn flavor. Some bittering hops in the background, and some malt sweetness, but not nearly as much as the nose would lead you to expect.

Mouthfeel - Body is a bit heavy for a blond. Good CO2 level. The syrupyness of the body lends the beer an unpleasant, lingering aftertaste.

Drinkability - It's drinkable, but I'll never buy another one.

Poured into a tall pilsener glass it forms a nice, tight, white head that laces repeatedly. Chill hazed, yellow w/ some orange hue around the edges.

Once you get past the initial appearance the brew turns south in a hurry. Strong Vegetable aroma and taste, Hops attempt to clean up but end up being "flashy" and give way to a watered, lemon, citrus type harsh finish. Not very crisp in my opinion either, as the lable would indicate. Crisp to me means it finishes snappy, and most of the time very clean and refreshing. This doesn't come through because the confusing taste lingers and there is a sour splash of lemon that annoys the palate.

I haven't had much success with this style "american blonde" but this was a particularly uninspiring offering.

This odd ale pours a golden color with a thin white head and some trailing lace.
The aroma is very unusual. A medicinal odor is topped by a grassy smell.
The light bodied malt is a little mealy. There's a background flavor reminiscent of a certain envelope glue (maybe that's the weird, hard to identify aroma I was trying to place).
The hops hold a mild citrus bitterness, with just a hint of a metallic tang. If I'm not mistaken, there seems to be a salty flavor. All in all, this is a pretty strange brew.

The beer pours an opalescent gold color, the head modest, the lace in decent sheets to coat the glass, both an off white color. Nose is light malt, clean and fresh the front is malt the top cadaverous. Finish is sparsely hopped, moderately acidic, and generally not suited to my taste, although for the “Light” crowd a decent beer.

Nice golden color with a good solid white head. Aroma is bready and yeast, slight sourness. Not real objectionalble, but not very exciting. A slight fruityness and a little malt in aroma. Sulfer and yeast flavors detract. Has a corny (DMS) character that really detracts. Adds to the sweet finish. Is actualy resonably drinkable even with the flaws. Almost a Rolling Rock character, but without the crisp finish that makes it work. A nice low malt and some hop flavor. But corn flavor and sweet finish really detract.
