Visited for the first time on 1/5/08. It seemed like the type of place that you would easily overlook unless you were either from the area or looking for it specifically. I was surprised to see a place so out-of-the-way with the dedication to craft brews that they had. The store was split about 50/50 between wine & beer and about half of the beer section was for micro brews. The selection was very good for such a small store, Stone, Abita & Lagunitas among others, and a lot of various European imports. Service was friendly, willing to help and happy to discuss beer in general. Prices seemed reasonable, even thought they seemed slightly higher than normal, but that’s expected from a store that doesn’t have much of anything near it.

So I'd been combing the South Coast, MA area for stores that carried Berkshire Brewing products. A couple of guesses, and the only one that I could reliably go by was this Olde Westport Beer & Wine place. Well, after driving a bit out near Buzzard's Bay Brewery, I find the establishment. To my surprise, not only were there a couple Berkshire products, but other local, regional, and national products that made my mouth water. The store itself is somewhat quaint, but that's its charm. The wine room looks quite fancy, but the beer room just puts it right in front of you, no frills. The older man, I'm guessing the owner, was quite helpful, and had some beer impressive beer experience, told a couple good stories. His help was greatly appreciated, he was very friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. On certain products, it seems like higher markups could have been made but weren't. The selection was sizeable, not huge, but the offerings present were enough to last any BA for quite a while. Seems like superfluous items were cut out to make room for brews you'd actually want to buy. Overall, a great place to go for quality beer that might not be available at the other local package stores.

small place pretty close to Buzzards Bay Brewery and Winery. Decent Selection, actually was able to pick up my first beers from Alaska, Midnight Sun Brewery, had Old Ipswich and Berkshire Brewing growlers, nice selection of MA beers, a lot of Harpoon & Sam Adams, Berkshire Brewing bombers. Some warm selections kind of old, Harpoon Barrel Series # 3 when #5 was out. Owner was a very nice older gentleman who turned me onto some locally made sodas for the kids. Definately worth a stop if in the area.
