330ml bottle poured into a pils glass.

Clear gold straw in color, the pour forms up thick silky white head that is here to stay with very good retention before slowly subsiding to an eternal foamy crown and leaving plenty of lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.

Bready malt forwards in a nose then hop nicely shines with notes of floral, citrus, slight herbal, and grass.

The taste is led by intense hop with its crisp, floral, rich zesty citrus, grassy, and some bitterness. Malt harmoniously works well in parallel with its bread and dough profile. Overall, it is very well balance, crisp and clean.

The body is light to medium with lively carbonation to generate nice crispness and smooth mouthfeel through the palate, very refreshing, dry and clean finish.

Surprisingly good, this hoppy Pilsener is very drinkable and super refreshing with its light, crisp, and clean character.

Poured from their unique 330 ml bottle with the scaly, dino skin texture into a pils glass. The appearance of this pilsner brewed with NZ hops is a clear pale golden tone, topped with a moderate head of white froth of which a thin ring is retained throughout the drink. The aromas are a mix of bready malts, floral hops, and earthy doughy yeast. Tastewise, there is a little sweetness at the start, but mostly a clean crisp bitter flavour throughout, over the distinct bread and dough malts. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with an average level of carbonation. Nice, memorable example of a pilsener, thanks to the unique mixture of hops used.

A bit too floral in the hops but the bitterness nearly balances it. Close but not quite for me.

Packaged 01/16/2016. Best by: 01/16/2017. Bottle from a Tops Supermarket in Chiang Rai, Thailand.

5.0% ABV. Bohemian pilsner.

Pilsner malts. Hop character is floral rather than grassy - atraditional, but nevertheless effective. Balanced and enjoyable. Crisp and refreshing. Though it's a bit more hop-emphatic than a traditional expression of the style, it works.

Light-bodied, smooth, wet. Well-carbonated.

High C+ (3.25) / ABOVE AVERAGE

Straw with a light haze, tons of carbonation and a whopping head of 6 fingers! Great head retention and nice snow layered lacing.

Skunk, dog, hay, citrus, a hint of burning rubber.

Citrus, gravel, a hint of burning rubber, slightly sweet, big bitter Saaz ending.

Slightly resinous, medium bodied, dry, moderate carbonation.

This is amazing, complex and awesome all at once. One of those great examples of how craft brewing can take such a style beyond expectations, leaving you even more satisfied than you anticipated. Drank April 30th, 2016 in CNX.

Pours straw clear golden, lots of carbonation, finger of frothy white head. Aroma grassy, tropical fruit notes. Taste is very citrus melon grapefruit, with a sweet malty backbone, very good.

Poured a 330ml bottle into a 350ml beer glass.

Poured a nice dark yellow/straw colour and formed quite a nice medium head that lasted a few minutes.

A good, strong nose. Slightly malty with some grassy notes and good deal of hops. Quite pleasant.

Palate was very hoppy - too hoppy for me but in my opinion it was too hoppy. Not much up front just a big hoppy aftertaste. Not well rounded and unbalanced. The taste hit the front of the mouth only. Disappointing.

Mouth was very nice for the style. Quite big, medium body with a fair amount of tight to medium carbonation.

Overall not a bad beer if a bit unbalanced. Good nose and mouth. Will appeal to pilsner drinkers.

Recommended for drinkers of the style.

330ml bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£2.60):
Quite a nice pilsner, one that was clean and very easy to drink with a nice bitterness throughout and plenty of citrus flavours too. There was more hops than I had been expecting from the style but it was a nice surprise that helped the beer down even easier than otherwise might have been the case. Good stuff from Tuatata and a decent pilsner that I wouldn't mind picking up again.

Im rating from last night's notes, which got a little hazy...Poured from a 500mL glass, this beer was pale yellow, with a small fizzy white head and slightly lower than average carbonation.

The smell wasn't too strong, but a nice mix of grassy and fruity odours. The taste was amazing - the grassy sweet malt backbone of a pils, with a big fruit hoppy flavour and bitter finish. The dry hopping is definitely noticeable in this one.

Well worth its $9 price tag.
