330ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Clear deep copper amber color with massive creamy off-white head that withstands with great retention before slowly collapsing to an eternal layer of soapy crown and leaving plenty of lacing wave all around, it displays high visible carbonation.

In a nose, crisp citrus, orange peel, lemon rind, tropical, pine, floral, spice, grassy, herbal, and tea-like bitterness, all of these aromas are derived from its hoppy goodness. Malt is also there with its biscuit, dough, and slight candy.

The taste is nicely blended between good IPA hop and rich malt bill. Hop with its citrus, orange peel, lemon rind, tropical, some pine, grassy, and persistent herbal yet tea-like bitterness while malt with its biscuit, dough, toasted, and slight sweet candy quality.

Medium body with some good crisp and lively carbonation through the palate, smooth mouthfeel with nice refreshing touch, finish is pleasantly dry.

This IPA offering from Tuatara is pretty good with bold suggestion of unique English character that is nicely fused with some touch of American.

Nice clear copper color with 2 fingers head. Smell of pine with a little touch of citrus. Taste is the same as smell. Very dry with bitter aftertaste.

Don't often see NZ beers in Ireland they say the transport is a problem. But glad I got to try this one. A bit malt intense for an IPA but enjoyable.

Served from a bottle into an IPA glass. Best before 7 May 2015, bought as part of a Mix Six pack. Poured with a somewhat thin head, approximately one finger, which settled into a thin covering with no lacing. Nose seems a bit off. A few nice hops notes in the background are overcome by a strong malt smell. A very malty IPA which seems somewhat off balanced. The first flavour is malt, almost like a cascadian ale. Then dissipates into a dull hop bitterness. No development on the aftertaste. Not one I'd seek out, but not awful.

330 ml brown reptilian bottle purchased and consumed in Wellington, NZ. BB date of July 2014.

Pours deep amber with a bubbly bone-colored head. Good lacing.

A light, English-style IPA, with an aromatic herbal nose but with the hop power of a slightly aggressive APA. Long lasting hoppy aftertaste. Appropriate malts for balance.

Feel: medium body; smooth; excellent, soft carbonation.

O: a weak version of the Tuatara APA, which I had immediately before this ale.

Poured from a 330 ml bottle, stablemate to five other Tuatara brews in a mixed pack. A deep ruddy orange, almost bronze color with around three inches of off-white head. Aroma is mixed citrus and iced tea, lemon, lime, and orange along with faint toffee and whiffs of burnt toast. Quite dark and malty but with some bright citrus on top. Alas, the taste fails to live up to the smell. A few faint gummy candy and treacle notes but overall the malts are coarse and lacking in complexity. Ditto the hops ... I get mostly bitter citrus rind with little fruit, a little sulfurous vegetation like green onions, some oxidized cardboard off-notes and a bitter nuttiness like the woody structure that separates the meat in a walnut. Hints of black pepper spice and pine. Moderate body with just a bit too much carbonation. Perhaps I am making things sound worse than they are and certainly this brew is reasonably drinkable. The weakest of the Tuataras though ... No T-Rex, more of a duck-bill.
