On tap at Ship's Tavern the beer arrives in a pint glass and is a deep rich brown mahogany color with a nice 1.5 finger cream off white head, good retention and excellent lacing. The nose is a gentle blend of caramel malts with a kiss of earthy hops and an approachable sweetness. The flavor builds on the nose to a delightful rich creamy malty beer. The name doesn't like. Hints of nut and roast the beer is good. Finishes smooth and creamy with a lingering caramel sweetness. Medium bodied and well carbonated. Not a style I'd typically reach for this beer is very good. Love the creamy malt. Highly recommended!

brewed in honor of the ncaa women's final four here in denver. this is a heavy malty brown ale (for lack of a better or more precise style categorization option). it pours rich dark brown with an amber glow and a thick creamy nitro head. the smell is like spent grains when you walk past a brewery, bready and even a touch smokey too. flavor is all malt, huge english doughy flavors, multi-grain cheerios also come to mind in the taste. feel is amazing, huge huge body with the smoothness of the nitro tap, it really makes a nice drinking beer. overall i like this one a lot, creative and very sturdy. the nitro suits it perfectly as well. id like to see them keep this beer around for awhile.
