Being just two blocks from the 16th St mall and several other noteable stops, Wynkoop is definitely worth a visit. The layout offers many options. Upstairs is an area with a second bar and many pool tables plus a couple shuffle board tables (oh yeah!) and plenty of standing room. Decor and structure is functionally wood and brick, and is pleasing to the senses without being distracting. Downstairs is a very large rectangular bar with surrounding seating attaching to a more restaurant type table arrangement. Part of the brewery is viewable through a glass window. The selection of brew is outstanding, with styles encompasses English Ales, german ales (Kolsch), several lagers, American styles, and even a gruit, Belgian dubbel and frambozen when I visited. While the quality of the brew won't knock your socks off, it is consistently very tasty and immaculately crafted. Food is a hair pricey, but certainly well above brewpub fare tastewise. The overall atmosphere is an odd, yet enjoyable combination of yuppie business types and loud, friendly locals, visitors and general beer lovers. Although I only spoke to him briefly, the brewer seems quite outgoing and willingly traded a growler of his IPA for our own brewpub's pale. Wynkoop is easily one of the better brewpubs in Denver. $2.50 a pint for happy hour 3:00 - 6:00 ain't too shabby, taboot.

Awesome venue with a large selection of average quality beers. Service and food is fine, quality is adequate, but this is more about the building.

Several beers not available during our visit. Still decent selection. Nice variety and vegetarian friendly food options. Service fantastic.

A big, well-set-up brewery with a couple bars, a wide variety of beer styles and a nice upstairs area with tons of pool, billiards, darts, etc. The service was okay and the beer was solid,to-style examples with good variety. Excellent location and a great set-up.

My wife and I met a friend here for drinks, Just down the street from Coors Field, it is a nice laid-back place to visit. High-ceilinged with tin, wood floors, big bar, high-top tables. Very comfortable.
Over twenty beers on tap. I had the cask dark mild and the doppelbock, both excellent.
Service was good.
I expect when I visit Denver, I will visit Wynkoop.

This is essential Denver. A late 19th Century warehouse preserved right across from Union Station (which has had an unprecedented regeneration in the last five years.) Started in the late 20th Century, Wynkoop played an important role in fostering Denver's innovative and still rapidly growing craft beer culture. Its founder became Mayor and laid many of the plans for the City's incredible revival as a magnet for Millennials (who also like beer and cool cities.) That Mayor is now Governor... so maybe brewers make better leaders than lawyers. At any rate, a great center-of-the-action Vibe at Wynkoop

I'm told there is service on two floors, but I never got past the bar on the first floor. It was packed at lunch and almost as packed at dinner. Probably some twenty taps of their brews and hosted another five Coloradan breweries. I had a flight of three each time I went there. Servers seemed to enjoy their work and the bartender was very knowledgable. My sandwich I would not have again. The menu looked like standard pub-grub.

By now, there are better pubs than Wynkoop. But a lot like Anchor, you want to visit where the pioneers first started in that city.

Cool place in Downtown Denver. In a big old historic building right near Union Station. I really liked the layout, and just walking around the place.

Quality was OK, but nothing special. It's pretty cool that this place is one of the original micro breweries in Denver / Colorado. But the two beers I tried were just a notch or two above average.

Service was pleasant enough. But she was not only slow, but also forgot part of our order.

Selection was good. Wynkoop not only had quite a few of their own beers on tap, but they also had a handful of guest brews.

Food was not bad, but kind of forgettable.

Overall? Eh... not bad, but not great. I am glad I checked this place out, but I won't be in a rush to return anytime soon.
