Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub downtown. Dark reddish, with a good white head and lacey. Malty, with some hops. Average mouthfeel, soft and bulked up carmel, decent though uninteresting beer.Fresh, and could be a faint drop of roast in the malting. Malty aroma.

Description from menu / website:
To celebrate the winter holidays Brewsters has created a flavourful winter warmer brew. Traditionally, this style of beer is called 'biere de garde' which is a strong, malty farmhouse ale brewed in Northern France. Celebrate the holidays with a pint of St. Nic's Red Eye Ale only from Brewsters Brewing Company & Restaurant.
The winter / Christmas seasonal, so had to try a pint at the brewpub.
Reddish with a copper glow, slightly hazy, thin white head. Foam hung around for a bit, minimal lace. Some spicy aromas with a bit of hops. Yeasty flavor, sharp spice on topm of malt sweetness. Nice hop bitter finish.
A unique beer, different style from Brewsters that I enjoyed.
