right in the ballpark where the rockies play, this brewery first gave rise to blue moon, and has just decided to open up daily regardless of baseball, how awesome is that?! they have maybe four blue moon beers, and six or seven sandlot beers, all were light lager types, for the most part that is. there was a rauchbier too. I liked the weizen octoberfest, but did not care at all for the basil based brew. the place is huge, beautiful inside, brand new looking and a thematic bridge built between brewing and sports, but I was the only one there on a Wednesday evening, very odd. I could see this being fun with live music or something, but something was also missing from the vibe, maybe just people, I don't know. they won some medals this year at great American beer festival so I wanted to check it out. its not anywhere near the coolest of the downtown breweries, but worth a stop in if you are in the neighborhood. awesome for game day, and actually pretty underrated as far as the beer they are making is concerned...

OK, this is a first for us, a brewery in a baseball park. I will add this to the brewery in casino in Connecticut I visited many years ago.

This place as a steep cover charge and thankfully it does because you shouldn’t be tempted to visit otherwise.

A large bar, seating area located at the north entrance to Coors Field. On tap were Coors, Coors light, Sandlot Red Ale, and a couple of the Blue Moon beers. So, having never drank a Coors in my life I ordered one of those and ordered the Red Ale (brewed on site). I somewhat enjoyed the Coors but the Red Ale was neither malty nor hoppy, and frankly it was watery and thin. My wife and I left half of each and departed. In the ball park we found a stand with CO beers such as Oskar Blue Dale’s Pale Ale, Left Hand, and Odells. We enjoyed a bottle of Odells IPA.

Didn’t have any food but what we saw looked good-sausages, etc.

$14 for two beers-not bad really.

Well, a brewpub in a baseball stadium. Not a bad atmosphere! Although, it's only open during ball games. So, you buy a ticket to the game, then don't watch it. Wish it were open at least during away games.

Anywho, I've been there plenty of times this year as the Rockies kinda sucked. It's a horseshoe bar with eatery thing at the front. Vendors, I think. Didn't try anything cuz I had just eaten some $10 nachos!

Regular Coors crap on tap. But their stuff is pretty good. I like the Barman Pils. Nice and crisp for summer game days. Service is more "bar-y" then "brewpub-y", a bit cold, but hey, it's at a stadium! I would say this is a must stop, but the fact of the ticket/game thing kind of dampens the worthiness. If you want some Sandlot beer, hit Falling Rock about a center-fielder's throw away

I was in Denver visiting family and had to watch a Rockies game vs. the Cubs. I'm an Indiana guy but love Denver sports! So I used the rare chance of being at the game and having a ticket to stop into the Blue Moon "brewery" before the game got started. It was packed and full of comotion. Not the best way to enjoy some craft beer. Neither is drinking it out of plastic cups or paying an arm and a leg. It was a good experience and wish I could have been less distracted. Good game though, Rockies won. Next time I go, to be honest, I'll probably just keep the Coors' originals coming.

Visited on 4/25/09 during the seventh inning stretch and after the Rockies game, reviewed from notes, how can the atmosphere not be cool if it is inside a ballpark, the answer is it really cannot unless it fails miserably, located in right field, had three of their beers on tap including B.S. Helles, Second Hand Smoke, and Right Field Red, I had the first two mentioned because I have heard so many great things about their lagers in the past, this was super crowded and I am sure it always is being that they are opened mostly only on game days, love the concept and wish my Dodgers would do something like this next, prices are super high around seven dollars a glass but they are expected at a baseball game, better than the other macro options but these too come in platic cups unfortunately

Brewery in a ballpark says it all for me; but, in fairness, it doesn't give a pub atmosphere.

Beer selection is linked-in with Blue Moon and Coors which limits choices available in the past from the brewery itself. There are some Brewmaster Specials at times worth a general admissions ticket - which is cheaper than a $7 beer.

Aramark provides the service...'nuff said. If you can get in touch with the 2 brewmasters, you'll have a much better experience.

Food is buffet burgers and dogs. No longer have the table service. Its slightly better than stadium grub.

It's a brewpub inside a stadium sposored by Coors, that should set the tone. The one thing that I brought away from my experience was that they had two house beers on tap. How lame is that??? I had the heffeweizen and the bartender was very curt with me. Keep in mind, I hadn't had a beer yet, so I wasn't drunk. When I asked what the brewmaster's special was, he said it was a banana-clove heffeweizen, like I was a child who didn't know what to expect from a heffe. Any time a brewpub has to appeal to the masses, quality is sacrificed. Go Rockies.

As a baseball fan, I've been here several times on game days.

The size of the crowd here is directly proportionate to how well the Rockies are doing. If the game is near a sellout, you can barely move. Otherwise, it's not bad.

Like many other brewpubs, SandLot is in an old warehouse. There was a big deal about saving this building when Coors Field was built, and the architects did a nice job of integrating it into the ballpark. The decor is pretty typical. Lots of wood and exposed brick. The bar is huge, and designed to handle the crush of patrons that come with big crowds on game days.

The beer is good but not great. Nothing particularly creative or daring here. But when compared to what SandLot's parent company Coors is putting out, it's a good effort.

Prices on game days are criminal. $6.75 for a pint is a lot to ask. Sandlot is in a Major League ballpark, however. So extravagant concessions prices are the norm, not the exception. $3.75 CrackerJack anyone?

Gotta say I've been here three times and didn't expect much, but have been pleasantly surprised.

I've been here twice during a game, once during GABF, Selection of tasty lagers was pretty decent, especially during GABF. Can't say that I've ever ordered food here.

Beer wasn't cheap, but not out of line compared with the crap in the bleachers - compared with that it seemed a bargain, so I averaged the $ and $$$...

Unfortunately due to similar styles and strange names I'm not even sure what the heck beers I've had here! I recall "What in the Helles Bill?" was exceptional, and everything else I've had here was at least decent. I'm thinking that I wasn't overly impressed with a still-highly-drinkable dunkelweizen, and that one pilsner I had was much better than the other, still decent, example - but I couldn't tell you which was which, sorry.

Not the most comfortable tables/chairs, and a small bathroom easily overwhelmed by a crowd, though I guess that is to be expected at the ballpark.

It's sometimes been a little hard to GET service, but once I had a bartender's attention I have had zero complaints. During GABF when they ran out of clean glasses (WTF?) I told him to refill the one I had instead, and he did so - free. Nice.

With these mostly ice-cold lagers I'd recommend a hot summer day visit - not so much a cold fall day.

Free BREWS for me here.

This place has a great selection of stuff. I tried a few things, and most of them were lackluster. The service was decent, but I had to name the beers specifically as the people there didn't understand styles on certain things (I know sometimes there was more than one offering per style).

It's a place that's worth visiting if you are in denver. Don't expect to be blown away by the beers, though. They are decent, but not great.

I am still impressed by how many different offerings they had. More than any brewpub I've ever seen.
